Essah Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 from Blackshark 2 Manual: When flying in the region of Maikop City, you can set the radio to AM mode with a frequency of 125675. If you are within a 70 km radius of the radio tower at Maykop airdrome, you will here broadcasts from “Radio Mayak”. If you are not a fan of their top 40 list, you can replace it with your own audio files: \\Sounds\Samples\RadioMayak folder The files will need to be in OGG or WAV format. Has anyone actually got this to work? can't seem to pick it up, I can't find the RadioMayak folder neither, was this a BS1 only thing?
Devrim Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 I think, yes. It was working only in BS1. If I'm not wrong, that radio doesn't work in BS2 standalone and DCS World anymore. BaD CrC Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 +1 Was a pretty cool feature, useless but pretty cool. It was removed if I remember even before BS2, during one of the patch for BS1, maybe 1.02. :( https://www.blacksharkden.com http://discord.gg/blacksharkden

winchesterdelta1 Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 (edited) Why was this feature left out if i may ask? Edited July 20, 2012 by winchesterdelta1 Go in close, and when you think you are too close, go in closer.
EtherealN Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 It was implemented in the old, pre-1.0.2, sound engine. Porting the feature was not feasible - it would cost more than it "tastes". Griffin Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 There was also a web radio mod. You could modify the frequencies file to match real radio frequencies in that area and when tuned in game, you would start hearing a live webcast! I think it was really cool. :) But I don't really miss it really. Much better things for dev's to do.
Tango Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 I thought it was awesome! I had a playlist on there which was great!! Also added extra realism to the fact that you really could tune radio stations on the HF radios. :D I'm all in favor if seeing a new Radio Mykop!!! Best regards, Tango.
