I've managed to setup Helios on my second monitor, using the DDBrico profile http://www.gadrocsworkshop.com/node/14 for which I just deleted the other screens and then reset it to show screen 2 on my second monitor to the right of my main one. I've even got it working with SoftTH, so I'm feeling rather proud of myself (yeah, for being able to search, read and understand) but this last step is one I don't think I can handle myself.

My main monitor is 1920x1200 and the secondary 1920x1080. I was wondering if anyone has the correct coordinates for the MFCDs (Shkval and Abris) with this profile on a 1920x1080. I figured that's quite a common resolution, so someone's probably already worked it out and it looks like it would be a major pain trying to do it by trial and error (particularly as BS takes about 5 minutes to load each time!)

This is my current MonitorConfig, which is working OK except for the MFCD positions (I just threw those figures in there as a guess). I saw a glimpse of the edge of the Abris on the Helios Abris window but no sign of the Shkval.

No problem! - my reply was also not meant at all as : do X to get Y.

it should only help you and be a guideline if you have more problems in the future - see link list.

-read a little further in the links.

Start with this tool and a piece of paper to see how to place the exports:

Thanks, I saw that but I'd rather avoid installing junk like Adobe Air if possible (I'm trying to avoiding stuff as I'm having enough trouble with DCS World as it is), which is why I was hoping someone might already have the co-ordinates for a 1920x1080 monitor.

if you don't use pixel window its a case of trial and error.

you are trying to find someone who has the same screens using bricos profile who has already done the work and is good enough to put it on here for you, I think slim to no chance.

Just work it out man jeez its not rocket science...

all setups are different, just try what you have and adjust values till you go it... like previsously said, it's not rocket science. :music_whistling:

What I did :

I took the profile picture from here:

http://www.gadrocsworkshop.com/node/14

and scaled it up to 1920x1080.

Than I used some "junk" to get the X/Y and Width/height of each display.

This all took me 2min

What you have to do:

Take out the values you need and don't forget to add the width of the other monitor to the Y coordinates.

That's brilliant. Thanks man.

What took you 2mins would probably have taken me several hours. I wouldn't have known/thought to take a picture and scale it up (never done that either) so I've learnt a new trick here :)

Bricos looks pretty much like Gradoc's and I'm sure plenty of people are using one or the other. I only needed someone who'd used it with a 1920x1080 secondary monitor, not the exact same setup and that's a pretty common resolution as well, so yeah I'm sure quite a few people could help me out. As for "good enough to put it on here", I think this community is a supportive, generous one, so I don't think that would be an issue.

Anyway, PeterP's been "good enough" to help me out now.

I have to use a picture....

You are able to measure it directly on your screen when the profile is active.

OK, fair enough. Thanks for helping me out anyway (not for the title of the jpeg though, that was rather rude and uncalled for).

Hi PeterP, I'm trying to use Pixel Window myself now to calculate where to export the UV-26 and PVI readouts to but I'm struggling.

Firstly, when Helios is running on my 2nd monitor, it seems it's "Always on top" (I don't see an option to disable this) so Pixelapp isn't visible (I can get it to appear by clicking on it's taskbar icon on my main monitor but as soon as I move the mouse to the 2nd monitor, Helios comes to the front again, so I can't operate Pixel Window.

So I tried what you did and downloaded and resized the image from the website and if I display it with Windows Picture Viewer in full-screen (F11) I can use Pixel Window if I've set it to "Keep on Top". It seems a bit fiddly if I create more than one ruler though as I have to set each one to "Keep on Top" and if I alt-tab away from Windows Picture Viewer and back, the rulers all go into the background and it's tricky to get them all showing again, so I'm curious how you managed to make that screenshot showing several rulers?

I just used the picture that I got from the profile download. - I never installed this profile.

Than:

Right click a pixelelwindow and open a second, third, forth,... instance by selecting "New".

"Keep on Top" will keep it on top.

and with the mouse-wheel you are able to change opacity.

"Help" will inform you about other 'secret' functions.

Always good to start the day with a chuckle...

When you've helped as many people as Peter has (about the same exact things), you're allowed to use dark humor :)

good luck with your project.
