Don't care, still want it. Also a bit surprised that ED hasn't even reacted to this whole thread yet.

For now, could we at least get a single bundle CDS delivery capability so we could at least have a "job" for AI C-17s and C-130s? One CDS chute (G-12D) and pallet can't possibly be any worse of a frame rate hit than multiple illumination bomb/flares can it? C'mon code monkeys, free bunch of bananas to the first deliverable mod!

I don't need no stinkin' GPS! (except for PGMs :D) :pilotfly:

I still want, want, want paratroopers in this game!

The ability to compliment gameplay across all modules is absolutely immense! From Russian VDV operations through simulated Korean or WWII insertions... If the Mission editors could "load" the requisite AI with infantry and equipment then this could even bring a HUGE compliment to Combined Arms.

Yes... I know I necromanced my old thread but heck - i see some pretty solid validations as to why this would be nothing short of awesome in some of these responses.

perhaps now that the modules have grown, this might be something that can be debated again??

+1 on this, I am hoping once the new skeletal animations come in we might see more of this stuff...

I don't understand how the dev team did not have the foresight to make the cargo planes have the ability to simulate airborne drops when they have infantry units in the game and a parachute model for ejecting pilots.

The game has been out for awhile and by now you would think that they would modify the transport aircraft to allow for this, it will only enhance the immersion of the world.

I'm with you Bugkill. I think our only chance of seeing an airdrop parachute object before we all die is for a master modder to reverse engineer the pilot ejection animation and adapt it to an existing payload container ( heck, just use the cargo container that the Huey and Mi-8 can hoist lift.)
