GUYS, GREAT NEWS.

I´ve updated my Nvidia drivers to last version, 310.90 and my FPS on FC3 boosted 20 frames.

Now, I´m able to fly over cities and drop any kind of ordnance without a single drop on FPS.

Well, at least for me it worked. Hope you can fix this problem too.

Do you remember what version of the drivers you were using before you updated?

I'll be testing soon and report back.

Sure mate, I was using the 306,97 but I was suffering with low frame rates when I was flying low over the cities, now, my FPS dosen't drops bellow 50.

Also, I have to apologize about the cluster bombs information, the explosions seem a bit more reasonable (cluster explosion=40-35 fps) but the problem still happens.

Edit: I've found that removing ground, ground1 and ground2 from the medium and high folders in \Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Bazar\Effects\PFX will eliminate the problem. Removing low seems to have little effect.

Tested with Su25, S8's, RBK and KMGU.

Worked for me! My game became a slide show when I viewed cluster bombs before. Hard to tell much difference to me, maybe less smoke. At least I can watch cluster bombs go off again.

Got the Nvidia 314.07 installed now. Now lets see what that does. There seems to be a major performanceboost for older cards in it as well as SLI setups of the older segment.

Looking forward for your feedback, man. Any good news using the 314.07 WHQL?

Also, I'll try the advice from Xerxes 17 and talk with you soon.

Thanks

I noticed no real huge difference, you can still clearly see the blast FX on the target. There's only a little less black smoke that seems to be replaced with some generic white smoke at times but I think this is a far better thing than the current slideshow problem. The only time you'll see it anyway is if you are using rockets as naturally any cluster munitions or bombs will be below you upon impact.

Old thread but old problem I seem to be suffering from.

Rocket's and bombs causes nasty stuttering, yet all other times I'm getting great framerate.

i7 920

12GB Mem

2x Radeon R9 290X

OCZ Revo 120 SSD for system

I Don't see the ground folders in the current version... so can't remove them.

Thanks. I did a search but didn't find anything, so I disabled crossfire and now the Sim works without those stutters.

For reference to anyone else who finds this thread, I'm using Catalyst Software 14.20.1004
