Ian (IJ) was an honourary member of my Squad III/JG11. I got one of the early Uber2NXT gimbal mods with HAL sensors and Cubby's metal dogfight switch replacement. Still buttery smooth and excellent for warbirds. It was about 20 YEARS AGO that I first talked to IJ. Antix we old m8. @rel4y, I've sent an email. I never modded my Cougar throttle and due to air to air refuling being hard in DCS, it needs some upgrades.

@Dudikoff and @suhast, how well do the new plastic pad and Nyogel 767 perform? I've got a Cougar Throttle I'm thinking of modding the same, thanks to your file above suhast.

Basically announced with the outline of an F-14 on http://leatherneck-sim.com/ Also previously they have shown a P-38, F5F Hellcat and close up shots of a Yorktown class WW2 carrier.. Edit: The F4U cockpit is throwing me off... How many planes are they making!? -

Maybe Gaudalcanal because the P-38 was also there. The P-38 also flew in Burma and New Guinea so fingers crossed those too might get a look in athough would take a bit longer to produce. -

From all the pictures and hints P-38 Lightning, F-14D Tomcat and F5F Hellcat, and York Class USN Aircraft Carrier. So one of the theatres is definately in the pacific WW2. I'm on the fence about where the pacific map will be... surely the big battles around small islands like Iwo Jima and Midway would be easier to model with such small landmass to deal with but the P-38 wouldn't play a role in those battles. Also nothing has been said of the P-38 so it could turn out to be AI, leaving space for another plane to step in as flyable. Anyhow all should be a little clearer come Monday Cobra time. -

Um.... Is that a P-38 on the left and a hell or wildcat on the right of the LN website? http://www.leatherneck-sim.com/ -
We are all worked up because of all the teasing and info that that aircraft reveals are coming in a late Feb update. Now I'm wondering if that means an update in late Feb or a late Feb update..... The Mig-21bis is much loved as is the F14, hellcat and other navy planes so it is of little surprise a few of us, me included, are going bananas waiting for the update to drop.

MFG Crosswind - Review
Winter replied to Flamin_Squirrel's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
They are the now "old ones' aka collectors edition white. I am super happy with them, installation a breeze as is adjusting the tension to my needs. I thought I would and i do miss the F16 style breaks. I'll just have to get used to the change and wait to see what Milan can produce. The breaks themselves stopped working on my Simpeds so no big loss there. -

I have mine on order too and hopefully arriving before xmas. A little sad i miss out on verison 2.0 of the electronics, which appear like solid improvements over the originals. That said, I know these pedals will be fantastic. Can't wait! Also looking forward to combat style foot pedals, i'm too comfortable using them with my simpeds. Milan just keeps working away developing better stuff :D -
Ok so it is 60% off

Future DCS performance ATI/Nvidea
Winter replied to 159th_Falcon's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Back in 2009 I got an Nvidia GTX 295, which I originally purchased to play LOMAC. Whoops, that sim never liked SLI and so my card only performed as good as a GTX 260... I recently purchased a pair of AMD Radeon R9 290X cards. The decision was based on performance price point... Whoops, DCS and AMD cards don't play nice. For me crossfire = disabled unless I want explosion stuttering, which is never. I'm a bit sad about my purchase seeing that NVidia cards have a much better experience in DCS world. EDGE holds hope for me and my fellow AMD GPU owners. It's not all bad tho. I can enjoy DCS world on a single R9 290X on fairly high graphics settings. Also no issues to be had with the other (new) sims and games I have. :pilotfly: -
Thanks. I did a search but didn't find anything, so I disabled crossfire and now the Sim works without those stutters. For reference to anyone else who finds this thread, I'm using Catalyst Software 14.20.1004
