I suggest to rightclick the DCS Wold shortcut and in the target line behind the quotes write update...should look like this then. ....DCS World\bin\DCS_updater.exe" update This will force the updater to check and verify the existing files every time you run the exe. In your actual case this will make sure that the update process will continue at this position where it stoped before.. Credits for this suggestion goes to =STP= Teumel, who told me before. So much for auto update. I took at least twenty attempts but that did the trick for me, and much, much appreciation to you and =STP= Teumel. Now I can go and get excited about the Huey...? This is how it works for me with my mods (NVG, new UFC Panel,...) Unfortunately things are not quite so simple. The latest update moved the WaterEffects.zip file to my _backup folder. This is not a file that I modified. \DCS World\_backup.000\Bazar\Effects\WaterEffects.zip This means you cannot simply copy the folder back across with confidence. For people who use other peoples mods this could cause issues as they may not know what files make up the mods they install. This might be a one off... but i certainly won't be copying the contents of the backup folder without having to thoroughly check each time. Thanks c0ff, weird. I compared the backup version supplied & the new version in a program called UltraCompare after i noticed it had been backed up. After comparing it it did re-save it, possibly giving it a new modified date. But I have not applied any mods or tweaks for these water effects. No idea why there would be two foam.jpg in there. I have a list of files i apply after backup: CDU_init.lua graphics.cfg High.lua PVI_init.lua ViewportHandling.lua I can't explain it.
