IvanK Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 I purchased A10C on DVD and had it running on my PC before DCS world was published. I have subsequently uninstalled from my PC. I am now running DCS world,P51 and FC3. Id there a way to get my version of A10C into the DCS world or do I have to re purchase a DCS world version of A10C ?
Derbysieger Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 That's no problem. Just download the A-10C module for DCS: World from digitalcombatsimulator.com, install it and activate it with the key you got with your DVD-Version ;) cheers CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D | Mobo: ASRock X870E Taichi Lite | RAM: 96GB DDR5-6000 CL30 | GPU: ASUS RTX5090 32GB ROG Astral | SSDs: 3xSamsung 990 Pro 4TB M.2 Peripherals: Warthog HOTAS | Virpil MongoosT-50CM3 Base | TrackIR 5 | MFG Crosswinds | 3xTM Cougar MFDs | HP Reverb G2
Headspace Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 If you bought DCS: A-10, you own the A-10 module for DCS World. It will use the same serial number.
Azrayen Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 Id there a way to get my version of A10C into the DCS world or do I have to re purchase a DCS world version of A10C ? Neither. Get DCS World (free). Download A-10C module (download is free, use requires key/activation). Use you current A-10C key, don't buy anything, it will work. What I want to say is : - your old soft (standalone version of A-10C) is of no use for DCS World (you can uninstall/erase it, no use). - your licence key on the other hand is "still good" (and will stay so).
stiffstarch Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 How about Steam Version Hi guys..new A10 Jockey here....Does this also apply to the Steam version??.. can I use the key from steam for DCS World? Thanks

Squid Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 can i make my standalone A-10C a World one without uninstalling it ? . i7 880 | HD 7870 | 8 Gb DDR3 1600 | ECS P55H-A | OCZ Vertex 2 180 | Intel 330 180 | WD 500 AAKS | 2x WD 2T Green | Enermax Liberty 620 | CH Combatstick & Throttle | TrackIR 3 | HP ZR24W | Windows 7 x64
EtherealN Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 can i make my standalone A-10C a World one without uninstalling it ? Uninstall or not simply does not enter into it. You can keep your old A-10C if you really want, as a program it is 100% agnostic to DCS World. If you have an old standalone version installed and activated at this time, and you do also have DCS World installed, then just get the A-10C module for world. It will not even ask you for a license key since it'll see the existing activation that is already on your system. Whether you then uninstall the standalone version or not is up to do, but I personally would do so since there really isn't much reason to keep it. Similarly, if you uninstall the old version, the activation will still reside on the computer so you would still not need to activate again. Squid Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 so the standalone A-10C cannot get "converted" to a world module. I have to install separately and specificaly the A-10C module and they will always be independent of eachother . i7 880 | HD 7870 | 8 Gb DDR3 1600 | ECS P55H-A | OCZ Vertex 2 180 | Intel 330 180 | WD 500 AAKS | 2x WD 2T Green | Enermax Liberty 620 | CH Combatstick & Throttle | TrackIR 3 | HP ZR24W | Windows 7 x64
EtherealN Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 Correct. The standalones are obsolete. DCS World, with all products in one and the same program, is the future. The change "under the hood" is such that 'patching' from them is prohibitive. deadmeat1471 Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 (edited) I bought this on steam recently, I have the CD key, I have downloaded DCS world. Where on earth do I enter the CD key and download A-10 for DCS world and not steam? I cannot find it; I would like to download patches at some point! If it is indeed the future, I would like a finger pointing in the right direction how a customer can find it. Edited November 26, 2012 by deadmeat1471
Skall Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Go to the DCS website and go to Download -> Modules and at the bottom of the page you will see the entry for the A-10C. Click on the Proceed to download link and you'll find what you are looking for. After installing the module and running DCS World, when choosing a mission with the A-10C you will be asked to enter your key.
