Pizzicato Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 Hey guys, I was playing the Poke in the Eye mission (again) as part of the Operation Medvedev II campaign when I took a few hits from AAA that knocked out my HUD and the ABRIS. I used the PVI-800 and HSI to guide me back to the FARP, shut down my engines and requested a repair. At the end of 170 second waiting period, the repairs initiated. Once it was all done, the visible external damage (e.g. missing panels) had been repaired and my ABRIS came back on line, but the HUD remained dead. Is this a bug or did I forget to do something? For what it's worth, the only steps I took prior to initiating repairs were: 1. Requested ground electrical power from the ground crew. 2. Turned on AC and DC external electrical power switches. 3. Used the cutoff switches to shut down the main engines. 4. Set the throttles to their lowest settings. Once the repairs were complete, I did the following: 1. Fired up the APU. 2. Fired up the two main engines. 3. Increased the throttles by two steps. 4. Requested the disconnection of ground electrical power. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide on this. tietze Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 As far as I know this is an old bug from BS1/2 and it persists also on airports. Apparently this also applies for damage done to the Doppler NAV system. I've created a support ticket for this in November, but haven't got a reply, so I don't know if a fix is planned, but ED is probably aware of the bug. B25Mitch Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 I just had this happen to me in a multiplayer session - the HUD didn't come back online after repair. I also lost the audible warning tones from 'IAS max' and 'Low rotor RPM'.
tietze Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 I've done a track to document this bug, so I guess it is being looked into when time permits: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=100740 Please fix the KA-50 bugs :-) Black Shark: Controller profile & setup, TrackIR profile, pit.
