Blizz003 Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 When I ramp start, the HUD doesn't turn on... someone said I had to Rshift+L to turn on the battery but alas I've thoroughly messed with my controls and am unable to find any command that even vaguely resembles "battery" any help would be super! -Thanks! i7 860 @ 2.8GHz, 12GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 5700, SSD, X52
Jona33 Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Probably called APU. Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing

It is called "Electric Power Switch", and it only works with the right side Shift key.
Blizz003 Posted January 9, 2013 Author Posted January 9, 2013 Seems to be called APU in the A-10C, but i see no reference to this in any of the FC3 planes control schemes... i7 860 @ 2.8GHz, 12GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 5700, SSD, X52
Blizz003 Posted January 9, 2013 Author Posted January 9, 2013 weird... "Electric Power Switch" is totally absent from my control list for the SU-25T I have Eject, Electro/Optical System On/Off, End Mission i7 860 @ 2.8GHz, 12GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 5700, SSD, X52

joey45 Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Electric power switch. Below eject. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. Blizz003 Posted January 9, 2013 Author Posted January 9, 2013 i swear theres no Electric Power Switch. I just started a quick mission from ramp and it started with the HUD already on... so... weird... hope it works in multiplayer i7 860 @ 2.8GHz, 12GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 5700, SSD, X52
Blizz003 Posted January 9, 2013 Author Posted January 9, 2013 lol... I just started a second mission and the HUD was there for the first instant then it disappeared... perhaps i should report this as a bug? flaps and nothing else work either i7 860 @ 2.8GHz, 12GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 5700, SSD, X52
joey45 Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 try repair from the start menu or do a reinstall first and see if it still happens. flaps wouldn't work cos there's no power. St3v3f Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Try deleting your Su-25 controls from the folder in Saved Games aka: Baron [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Blizz003 Posted January 9, 2013 Author Posted January 9, 2013 The re-install didn't work, but deleting the controls in the Saved Games folder did! Thank you! now just need to remap everything i7 860 @ 2.8GHz, 12GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 5700, SSD, X52
shagrat Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 (edited) The re-install didn't work, but deleting the controls in the Saved Games folder did! Thank you! now just need to remap everything You may save your configuration! check that you highlight the correct controller column by clicking on any field in it. Then you can save the profile for this controller to a lua file. so you may save a Keyboard profile, a Joystick profile etc. to reload it after a repair or if you messed up your configuration check carefully that the correct controller column is highlighted again, then load the profile, accordingly. edit - by the way an APU is an auxiliary power unit whose main purpose is to start the 'real' engines aka turbines. It usually has a generator attached to provide electrical power, also... :smartass: Edited January 9, 2013 by shagrat Shagrat - Flying Sims since 1984 - Win 10 | i5 10600K@4.1GHz | 64GB | GeForce RTX 3090 - Asus VG34VQL1B | TrackIR5 | Simshaker & Jetseat | VPForce Rhino Base & VIRPIL T50 CM2 Stick on 200mm curved extension | VIRPIL T50 CM2 Throttle | VPC Rotor TCS Plus/Apache64 Grip | MFG Crosswind Rudder Pedals | WW Top Gun MIP | a hand made AHCP | 2x Elgato StreamDeck (Buttons galore)
Blizz003 Posted January 10, 2013 Author Posted January 10, 2013 ah yes so I discovered my error... Thinking I was being clever I mapped all the keys on the su-27 and then loaded that profile on the su-25. Apparently this is a really bad thing to do. was solved by deleting the files in the Saved Games folder Cheers! i7 860 @ 2.8GHz, 12GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 5700, SSD, X52
