The screws are just something I had in the office too keep the pieces together. There will be better ones on there soon.

Painting is tricky but I have no doubt that good masking will make it pretty easy. What worries me is the LED placement and such. :)

Right now there isn't even a framework. I wanted to make sure I could get the panels out in a decent quality before even trying and now I can use them to size the whole framework making the gaps between panels perfect. :)

Looks very good. Run out of leds,? How many did you use for this?

At the moment I'm running four instances of 4 3v LED's in series so that makes 16. Probably overkill but I wanted some uniform coverage.

Only got a 20 pack from Amazon and killed a few just messing around. I did find 150 of the same LED's on ebay for the same price I paid for these though so in a few weeks I should be drowning in them. :)

16 sounds about right according to my placement strategy.although here I'd use 20 to light the title on the left as well. I also use strings of 4 diodes, running them from 12v rail of dedicated power. That way they are ted undervolted for hopefully Improved longevity.

Yep, a 200 pack of 3mm wide green LEDs is 8$ or so shipped from china. Or 100 pack for 6.5$ from NY if one is in a hurry. At this price no need to hold back.

It looks very good IMHO the only thing you might want to change is the HVG in the lower right corner to the correct Night vision marking of NVG.

Positioning the Oxygen Supply Pressure indicator behind the light panel as in the real panel may change your perspective of the font being to large

CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.

Thanks Deadman!!

I was considering doing that but ended up with this modular solution incase I decide on having static needles. Then I can just unscrew the rings and pop something in. Also, it makes troubleshooting easier but it looks less original.

I will have to think some more about lowering it in to the panel which would look a lot better.

wow, very clean work! Looks really great. You should take money for this stuff! Just quit your job and start a business!

Since my job is where I have the laser I don't think so. ;)

But if anyone would be interested I can easily make some. :)

Hi, nice panels so far! Do you mind sharing the switches you have in mind? I am looking for parts now and have already decided that the mil spec toggles are out of my budget range for the time being.
