Hey folks.

It turns out my sidewinder joystick has stopped working. It's broke :icon_redf

So i need to buy a new one. I've been looking for the sidewinder force feedback 2 joystick, but it is nowhere to be found here in norway. Anyone know where i can buy this joystick? In norway, sweden, denmark...maybe.

I can manage without a HOTAS at the moment, i kinda want the MSFF2 joystick. Any help appreciated,

thanks.

Some people dont like the MS FF2 stick but to me its a great. Oke, it not a HOTAS stick but still its got a good grip, has good ForceFeedback, programmable buttons etc. ( I'd like an Saitek X52 though). Overall the MSFF2 is a good stick to use.

If u cant/wont fork out for a HOTAS stick then try to pick up an MSFF2 from somewhere.

met vriendelijke groet,

I would suggest getting a Saitek FF stick as those old MS sticks are hard to find.

I would also second the Saitek X52 if you cannot afford/don't want to spend the money for a Ch setup.

I love my CH setup, but it is expensive, and not everybody wants to spend that kind of money. I can say if you did spend the money and wanted to, that you'd love the quality and the feel. The CH Sticxk does require a set of rudder pedals unless you use the keyboard (not likely), but you can get by without the throttle. However, it's best used with the full compliment... Fighterstick, Pro Pedals, and Pro Throttle or quadrant.

The X52 is pretty decent from what I have read. After flying qith the HOTAS setup, I can tell you, that the twist rudders are not as accurate as a good set of pro pedals tough.

Really, unless you decide to spend the money on a HOTAS, Saitek is really the only choice. Thrustmaster makes a Cougar, but from everything I gathered, the pots are junk and must be replaced with sensors, and it's overpriced. you can get a Ch setup cheaper, and it's better quality.

I did much research on these sticks before I bought one, and decided to bite the bullet and go with the CH myself, but the Saitek would've been my second choice.

I have CH fighterstick and Throttle on order.I never realy had a decent stick so this Time Ill get nothing other than THE BEST. Had to do the buy through someone of my Familiy in the US. Its a waste of money trying to buy it outside realy. It costs twice as much. In lack of options go for x-52.

I would definitely avoid the TM Cougar if I were you guys. I have seen numerous threads complaining about junk pots in those sticks. The only cure they came up with for it, was to replace the pots with sensors. Some of the threads were quite candid about how TM would do nothing about the issue, and many of the threads said they would not cover the pots.

After all the things I read, I wouldn't touch one. Stick with a quality CH or Saitek. You can't fly if the pots won't center, or wear out, and you'll be stuck until you can order sensors, and learn how to install them. Some of the posts said they got less than a month on those pots. I have a Logitech I used to use before I got into sims, and before I bought my CH HOTAS.

The Logitech is a piece of junk compared to my CH setup, but the pots haven't wore out in it. It just doesn't center worth a damn.

Ask the guys about those pots. They'll tell you the same things. Ask on here, and ask on other forums like SimHQ, and other gaming sites. The guys that had them hated them because of that. Many of them said they wish they'd bought the CH. Review sites give them high marks, but the review sites don't use them long enough to wear them. They are nothing near the quality of a Saitek or a CH. At least that's what I was told, and I believe those guys. Many of them had directions on how to mod the sticks to fix them.
