schkorpio Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 I find that with the nature of flying reasonably low in A-10C and especially in the Ka-50 you see a lot of ground. Having higher resolution for textures that are near you would be awesome. Sometimes it feels like you are hover over green/brown soup :) But from a practical view it would be a lot easier to determine height and speed visually too. Sponsored by: http://www.ozpc.com.au
Suchacz Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 I think, that we will have to wait for EDGE... Per aspera ad astra! Blaze Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Its not so much EDGE. That will only benefit new maps anyways. Making high-resolution ground textures is possible, but the process takes a very long time. i7 7700K | 32GB RAM | GTX 1080Ti | Rift CV1 | TM Warthog | Win 10 "There will always be people with a false sense of entitlement. NRG-Vampire Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Sometimes it feels like you are hover over green/brown soup :) give more clutter/bushes by slider in Options - or by mods you will feel better your speed and how close is the ground to you
OttoPus Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Fractal algorithms seem to be the key for simulating real terrain randomness. See outerra... is not only about textures :)
