Home Fries Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 Great thanks Ebs! but its not possible to log my past tons of hours i already spent in MP??? :megalol: Sure you can. Back up your \Saved Games\DCS\MissionEditor\logbook.lua file and then make the edits manually. Each whole number is a second. Just be sure to also make the proper entries in daytime and nighttime hours. -Home Fries My DCS Files and Skins My DCS TARGET Profile for Cougar or Warthog and MFDs F-14B LANTIRN Guide
Ebs Posted February 19, 2013 Author Posted February 19, 2013 Here's where I'm at guys. After a lot more work on this, I've managed to fix the problems. The mod now... 1. requires no editing to install. 2. Always tracks your plane in Multiplayer. 3. Tracks ALL your planes in a Multiplayer session! no more disconnecting in between planes to update your stats What I would like though is a few people to test this new BETA version. The only requirement is that you fly a few multiplayer sessions (with different planes etc.) and provide some feedback for me. Drop me an email at typingoutloud@gmail.com and I'll send you the BETA version 1 Check out my guide to JSGME for DCS World.
fangav Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 (edited) Email sent. Does that mean we can start from the multiplayer icon? Edited February 19, 2013 by fangav [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
_Heater_ Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 Email sent. Does that mean we can start from the multiplayer icon? No, you need to click on Launcher for opening the Multiplayer Interface. Taproot Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Gonna have to give it a go. As I understand some servers checks your install to check for mods. Will this affect this? Mark on "as I understand"m cause Im not sure.. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
HiJack Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 No this mod wil not affect MP as it only edits Mission Editor files. Integrety check is done on exports, scrips and weapon files.
Taproot Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Well, Im in the shait. DCS wont fire up now. sslechta Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 I would check your quote symbol where you put your name. Sbould be ". Taproot Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Here are the lines in the .lua file. -------------------------- --YOU MUST EDIT THE FOLLOWING LINE. CHANGE "Ebs" TO YOUR MULTIPLAYER CALLSIGN iInitiator = "138th.Taproot" -------------------------- -------------------------- [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Taproot Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Ok. I repaired DCS, made a backup and downloaded the logbook thing again. Doublechecked all the names and edited the file. It now launches. I checked the logbook flighthours in the SU 27, went online and flew the SU 27 for 5 minutes. Flighthours did not change in the logbook. So either it is not working for me, or it does not record flighthours. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
sslechta Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 I wonder if it's having problems with the period in the name, it shouldn't. And you have "138th.Taproot" as the in game callsign in the logbook AND the multiplayer name (under Options in the multiplayer menu)? I'm puzzled why it's not working..... 1 Steve (Slick) ThrustMaster T.Flight Hotas X | TrackIR5 Pro | EVGA GTX 1070 | Win10 64-bit Professional | Dell Precision 7920 Workstation | 1 TB SSD | 128 GB Memory | Dual Intel Xeon Platinum 2.0 GHz 16 Core Processors (64 Total w/HT ON) | 24" Dell Monitor
occam Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Hello and thank you for this, but it doesn't work for my. When I get out of the multiplayer appears a debriefing, but do not update my flight hours. Taproot Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 And you have "138th.Taproot" as the in game callsign in the logbook AND the multiplayer name (under Options in the multiplayer menu)? Yep. It is all correct. Is it suppose to log hours aswell? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
sslechta Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 It should be logging that... I guess we'll see if Ebs can respond to you. So far it's been working for me. Steve (Slick) ThrustMaster T.Flight Hotas X | TrackIR5 Pro | EVGA GTX 1070 | Win10 64-bit Professional | Dell Precision 7920 Workstation | 1 TB SSD | 128 GB Memory | Dual Intel Xeon Platinum 2.0 GHz 16 Core Processors (64 Total w/HT ON) | 24" Dell Monitor
Taproot Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Well, I only checked the hours for the SU 27, might be that its just the general hours that are logged.. Easy check for that. brb. :p [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Taproot Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 nope, didnt move. I didnt take off though. Does that matter? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
sslechta Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 You probably have to take off to log time.... ;) For me, I've just logged all hours on the F15 and that's what I flew in game and on multiplayer and all my logged time in that aircraft is merged since this mod was added. HiJack Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Hmm, looks as if there is a problem with ".". It does not log MP sessions for me either "138th.Jack".
