Because my vision is not as good as it should be (and my monitor is a good distance away) i find the A-10's HUD somewhat difficult to read in wide FOV. I never had that problem in the Russian aircrafts because their HUD's characters were a good size and easy to read. I can see the HUD just fine its reading the speed or distances that i find difficult. Is there any way to increase the size of these characters?

P.S. Glasses are not an option for now.

You can use 2 achsis for zooming. One achsis actual zooms, so you will see also objects on the ground better and it increases hud size. The other one shifts the virtual head back and forth. You will most likely have to use both. The zoomachsis to zoom in and the shift achsis to shift a bit back, for not loosing situal awareness in the cockpit. Check the controlinputoptions.

Actually, thanks to TrackIR i wouldnt need to map an axis to move the head. Thanks for the input but i'm looking for something else. Although i might just play with the zoom instead if nothing comes up.

EDIT: Also, i'll have a follow up question once (and if) this one is resolved.

The zoom would still be a viable option for you. Map it to either an analog axis or a button press and just zoom in once or twice. It's different that the TrackIR zoom, almost like a pair of binoculars, and would probably solve your problem.

The default zoom level is actually quite a bit zoomed out (you can clearly see this from the distorted image around the edges of vision), centering zoom will fix this. This is particularily evident in the new F-15 cockpit

Thanks Peter, that's exactly what I was hoping for! Is there any chance of characters overlapping each other or any other bug?

For the follow up question: I would like to move the pilot's head in game to a farther back position. I find its too far forward, almost pressed on the dash. I know how to move the default cam position but when i do, because the HUD keeps its original zoom level, I lose sight of most of it because of the frame. Is there any way to reduce the HUD zoom level to fit it to the HUD screen? (I know it sounds like I'm countering my original question but hopefully the bigger font will help.)

Yes i know but what I'm looking to do is change the HUD size to keep it within the frame when i move my head back in game.

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

If you're talking about the Big HUD Font mod then I've only encountered a few overlapping words. Nothing major.
