hello guys!

with my current settings, i have playable constant ~50fps in pretty much every situation...no stutters and overall im really happy considering that i run the sim on a pretty crappy rig...

i dont mind to lower graphics settings, as for me a fluently running sim has higher priority than a fancy looking one.

normally i played with textures set to high...but the last few days i tried to lower them to medium, and the sim runs even more fluid this way.even in big cities at treetop level and plenty of ground objects there is no stutter whatsoever.

and i dont mind if the overall textures are a bit blurry.the only problem i have with the medium setting is, that it affects the cockpit textures as well, and especially the MFCDs and the TAD page...with textures on high, one can read every little village,elevations,...just every little detail on the TAD map.

but using medium textures, the map gets blurry, and smaller details are really blurry and sometimes even unreadable.and thats the point which puzzles me.

i dont mind to fly with overall lowered textures, but this affects actual gameplay...

so to come to my question...is there a way, to have the overall textures set to medium, but keeping the high textures for the cockpit, or at least for the MFCD pages(particular the TAD page)?

is there for example a line in the graphics.cfg file i could alter???

thx in advance!

This thread is relevant to my interests. Maybe there is a way to copy/paste the high textures for all the cockpits over to the medium ones?

I'll jump in on the "watching with interest" crew. I didn't realize that the medium textures affected the MFCDs.

+1

Would be great if moving map wasn't affected by the texture setting.

I have a similar point here - It would be great if we could use cockpit shadows with world shadows on low (or off). I keep them at low cause it helps my fps a lot but I'd still like to have cockpit shadows on which is not possible now. Cockpit shadows are not visible unless the world shadows are set to med or hi.

But +1 for the OP. Having the option to put world textures at medium and keep cockpit textures at high would be nice too.
