chromium Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Hi to all :) seems not possible to control AI flights as client: you can add "possibile waypoints" (red dot+circle), but when you try to confirm them, nothing happen. Instead, if you're the host, it work as intended. First: thanks for the continous effort. Second: hope you can solve this causa I have a very large amount of improvement waiting for this to work :D PS: I attach a mission, as I found simple to reproduce in any occasion, but if necessary I will provide further test or info.TEST CA - client non controllable AI flights.miz Author of DSMC, mod to enable scenario persistency and save updated miz file Stable version & site: https://dsmcfordcs.wordpress.com/ Openbeta: https://github.com/Chromium18/DSMC The thing is, helicopters are different from planes. An airplane by it's nature wants to fly, and if not interfered with too strongly by unusual events or by a deliberately incompetent pilot, it will fly. A helicopter does not want to fly. It is maintained in the air by a variety of forces in opposition to each other, and if there is any disturbance in this delicate balance the helicopter stops flying; immediately and disastrously.

Wrecking Crew Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 This was working in v123, right? I played around with it a bit, and was able to assign targets to opposing a/c. Now with the v124 release, I cannot control a/c. I have Uncontrolled ramp Start a/c in Red and Blue and like said above - try to set a path and nothing happens - the a/c just sit in their parking spot. chromium Posted May 6, 2013 Author Posted May 6, 2013 No it wasn't: it was possible only for host or single player. Wrecking Crew Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Yikes - this really bums me up. I just came from the DCS Combined Arms page and in several places there are references to controlling a/c. This is released, right? http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/products/combined_arms/ "When in multiplayer, different players can take on different roles such as artillery commanders, tank commanders, pilots, " "Both cooperative and head-to-head missions can be played with at least 32 players occupying various ground command and aircraft command roles." :( WC Visit the Hollo Pointe DCS World server -- an open server with a variety of COOP & H2H missions including Combined Arms. chromium Posted May 6, 2013 Author Posted May 6, 2013 Maybe in a future it will be possible :) Author of DSMC, mod to enable scenario persistency and save updated miz file Stable version & site: https://dsmcfordcs.wordpress.com/ Openbeta: https://github.com/Chromium18/DSMC The thing is, helicopters are different from planes. HiJack Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 No the future is not here yet. ED have been working on a new version of the CA, CA 1.5 but there is no release date set.

It's working in 1.2.7 beta, but you ruin a/c rtb, if you make new path. And A-10 only use Maverics and long bursts on cannon, and seem to ignore the cbu97 they carry. F-16 SEAD will use Maveric too, not sure if the radars are active for agm-88, they usually get jettisoned, but they will hunt helicopters if you make them targets. i5 4670 - Sabertooth Z87- GTX Titan - Dell U3011 30" - 2x8GB RAM 1800 - Samsung 840 EVO 512GB SSD - Warthog HOTAS - CH Pro pedals - TrackIR5 - Win7 64bit EVERYTHING IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE

I'll check this evening, AFAIK i wasn't possible to control flight as client since last update, only host was able. :).
