Little OT perhaps but how will Black Shark perform under Windows Vista with DX10? Yes I'm worried about the new (no we are not going to be backwards compatible DX10) Windows version. I mean Black Shark is going to be released within a year ( I hope). And emulating a heavy sim like LOMAC or Black Shark will still suck the life out of any new computer the next 2-3 years. :icon_evil

Vista Pista, just don't be a sheep & upgrade as soon as it comes out :-)

(says Peter, sitting here running Win2k...)

From that article : "There were some interesting points in the article though. Apparently Black Shark will have sysreqs 20% higher than Lock On at full detail settings (adding more ground detail?). The cockpit switches are fully interactive. And small arms and AA fire, which Helos encounter far more of than jets, will be extensively modeled."

Cheers.

DX10 will not be backwards compatible. Windows Vista will probably use some kind of emulation for DX<10 software, which means that system resources will be spent on the emulation... just what any gamer needs :(

Looks like I'll be hanging on to XP for a good while forward.

i7-2600k@4GHz, 8GB, R9 280X 3GB, SSD, HOTAS WH, Pro Flight Combat Pedals, TIR5
