Request for new models for old flyables

Even if the future add-ons, such as Black Shark, will not bring AFM to the existing old flyables, I think it’s still necessary to improve of the old flyables models. I would easily pay so much more for that (even though flying the black shark would still be pretty cool). ED, I really wish you can comment in here. Seriously, after looking at the Su-25T and now the Ka-50, those models are absolutely beautiful. And when I look back on my beloved flanker, it’s a piece of crap (which is a shame because it’s sort of the main aircraft in the game). If ED wants to make their own flanker, then please announce it or show some pictures of progress. Otherwise, I would like ED to accept 3rd party flanker models like Strikemax. This goes for the same for the other flyables, the 2 ugliest planes, is also the best plane in the game (the Su-27 and the F-15). I want to call upon any molders out there that can build these 2 planes back to their formal glory PLEASE! Even making simple modification that relates back to this plane would be nice, such as a new fuel tank for the F-15. If you are interested in the other flyable planes, please remake them. The A-10’s engines should actually spin. I’m currently learning how to use GMAX so I can contribute to this project. I know there’s a lot of work such as the model itself and the damage model, but if the community gets involved, we can really make this game one kick ass sim. Plus, with new models, future lomac video will really rock! :icon_supe

I just read a thread over at the UBI forums where strikemax posted picuteres of his Su-27 model. He claimed that ED is going to make their own updated Su-27.

The question is...Is it going to happen in LockOn, or in some future product?

Don't count on it... my guess is that they want money for it ;) New Su-27 model along with WAFM.... and AFM? and 6DOF, I'm not a believer but OMG! :icon_pray

Are you sure it was an Su-27 model? Because i heard ED was going to do the J-11, same model but with a slightly different loadout.

Dont know anything about that, but the J-11 is really just a licence built Su-27SK, so there should be no difference in regards to the 3D model.

 

I dont know why ED would want to do a J-11 - China operates both the imported Su-27SK as well as domestically built J-11s and, IIRC, currently has far more imported Su-27SK than homebuilt J-11s in service.

 

Anyway, the loadout capability is determined entirely in the Meinit.xml file, so that does not affect the 3D model either :)

Hehe....well I cannot comment on that thread, but I think you are putting too much into the lock-on series bit - there is life after Lock-on ;) .

Oh, I still have hopes that maybe one day (1.2) I'll see Poland in Lock On, and our MiG-29, Su-22, Mi-2, Mi-8, Mi-24, An-26, T-72.. Leopards (..and more and more..), and my favourite beloved STAR truck (just being sarcastic) here ;)

Hello Everyone,

 

I too would pay as much as the 1.2 add-on to have AFM and AWM for both the Su-27 & Su-33 with better high res/polygon models and 6DOF like the Ka-50 Cockpit. In this series, not future products. I know some of the western jets pilots might get upset but, it is a russian simulation. I can handle that. It would really increase the realism of the carrier ops if the Su-33 had the AFM in my opinion.

 

ED, you can have my money if this were to become reality because I fly two airframes in this sim, Su-25T and Su-33. You can guess why I like the Su-25T so much, the AFM.
