Shoam2B Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 Hello all... Can someone help me understand why they remove the autotrust from the F15? and if there in any other way to lock speed in the aircraft?? http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/news/dcs_1_2_4_12547_update_is_now_available/ Autothrust was removed at all aircrafts except of Su-33. Su-33. Autotrust now should be engaged separately after route/return/landing autopilot mode was engaged.

GGTharos Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 Because F-15's don't have auto-thrust. Can someone help me understand why they remove the autotrust from the F15? and if there in any other way to lock speed in the aircraft?? PoleCat Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 Use the throttle, its fun. Out http://www.104thphoenix.com/
SkateZilla Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 because we dont trust the F-15? hahaha Sorry, couldnt help myself, too many times I've seen "AutoTrust" and not "AutoThrust" Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2), ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9) 3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs
TeeJay82 Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 I have not flown a second since the update removed the autothrust and i miss it allready...
SkateZilla Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 You guys are spoiled, the F-15C never should have had auto thrust. sslechta Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 I liked autothrust a lot in the F15C. It came in handy on fueling with tankers and flying lead on formations. Since it's been gone, I have gotten much better on throttle management as others have suggested... The change kind of forced that on me....... ;) Steve (Slick) ThrustMaster T.Flight Hotas X | TrackIR5 Pro | EVGA GTX 1070 | Win10 64-bit Professional | Dell Precision 7920 Workstation | 1 TB SSD | 128 GB Memory | Dual Intel Xeon Platinum 2.0 GHz 16 Core Processors (64 Total w/HT ON) | 24" Dell Monitor
Robin_Hood Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 If it has been kept in the Su-33, that suggest that this one has some kind of autothrust. Maybe for automatic carrier landing ? Not sure if russians have this, I know a lot of US Navy planes have this though 2nd French Fighter Squadron
