We've seen numerous requests to add exporting functionality to the Huey. Please post here what you would like to see. As I understand, the primary requests are for instrument (gauge) export and warning lights export. Is this correct? Anything else?

Also, have you seen this app? It's possible to obtain instrument data using this method. Can this work for your needs without additional export functionality added to the module or not?

Well, I don't think I speak only for myself if I say a way to use Helios with UH-1H would be highly appreciated. Eventhough Gadroc is a bit busy for some time now, some of the A10C gauges like the HSI or others could have been re used. Saddly the export offsets for the flight parameters are different. I don't know why.

Thanks for proposing nonetheless EvilBivol-1

When you add the support for graphical exports of devices:

Add for each export a black background from the beginning.

see here for reference:

http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1750390#post1750390

Also give each export a absulute unique name , so it doesn't conflicts with any other export from another module.

I used this syntax for Icemaker's EMC:

Developer_Vehicle_Device = ED_A10C_UHF_FREQUENCY_STATUS

So yours should be BST_UH1H_UHF_FREQUENCY_STATUS

Please do the same with the knee-board and pilot-sight.

That's only for android devices, I use an iPad; I'm sure there are others who use one also. Is there any apple app that I could use for this purpose?

+1 for this please..

Kinda had to stop work on my Helios profile for the ipad as I wasn't able to export the gauges, rotary switches would be excellent.. In fact every single gauge, dial tuning knob would be amazing! A pit builders dream! :)

Appreciate anything that you guys do!

Sorry guys, my question was whether we still need to add dedicated export functionality for gauges when it seems like you can already get this data. I'm not suggesting you use the andoid app, only using it as an example that gauge data can already be exported. I'm guessing though that HELIOS is not build to extract the data this way, so to make HELIOS work fully with the Huey (and P-51), we either have to add export to the gauges or HELIOS has to be modified/updated to extract the data in a different manner. Is this correct?

Sorry, I've not used data export before and trying to understand what to ask of the dev team and what not to ask.

  • 5 months later...

I'd like to see pretty much anything that displays a light, or gauge.

Then we can connect up to warning panels like:

Gauges like

And most importantly real toys like these:

or for those with a little more space
