UCAS Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 If I already have DCS World and Ka-50 and A-10C at the current update level and I buy FC3, will it just be a matter of installing it, or will I have to install everything again from scratch?
MTFDarkEagle Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Just like installing your A-10C, Ka-50 it's just another module that gets installed straight in :) Lukas - "TIN TIN" - 9th Shrek Air Strike Squadron TIN TIN's Cockpit thread

Brisse Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Does it come with a detailed F-15C cockpit? Did you not bother to read the official list of features? New 6 degrees of freedom (6DOF) cockpit and model for the F-15C, Su-27, A-10A and Su-25.

UCAS Posted June 24, 2013 Author Posted June 24, 2013 One final question before I make my mind up. Does it come with training missions like A-10C? *Where is the official list of features?
Brisse Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 (edited) One final question before I make my mind up. Does it come with training missions like A-10C? *Where is the official list of features? On the front page of the official website. http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/ About the training. They did not bother to update the training missions to the current version of DCS so they posted them as videos instead. UCAS Posted June 24, 2013 Author Posted June 24, 2013 About the training. They did not bother to update the training missions to the current version of DCS Oh dear. I was almost going to buy it too.
Dudikoff Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Oh dear. I was almost going to buy it too. It's not really such a big issue as the cockpits are not interactive anyway. i386DX40@42 MHz w/i387 CP, 4 MB RAM (8*512 kB), Trident 8900C 1 MB w/16-bit RAMDAC ISA, Quantum 340 MB UDMA33, SB 16, DOS 6.22 w/QEMM + Win3.11CE, Quickshot 1btn 2axis, Numpad as hat. 2 FPH on a good day, 1 FPH avg. DISCLAIMER: My posts are still absolutely useless. Just finding excuses not to learn the F-14 (HB's Swansong?). Annoyed by my posts? Please consider donating. Once the target sum is reached, I'll be off to somewhere nice I promise not to post from. I'd buy that for a dollar!
Brisse Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Agree. That is a very small issue. It would be a shame if that kept you from buying.
UCAS Posted June 24, 2013 Author Posted June 24, 2013 I was kind of sold on the A-10C package. If only all DCS packages were dealt that way I think the product would be doing far better.

ED has stated that the simpler FC series is the more successful of the two in general. Not everyone wants to click every single button in the cockpit. kontiuka Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 One final question before I make my mind up. Does it come with training missions like A-10C? *Where is the official list of features? You also have to remember that the learning curve for the Flaming Cliffs aircraft is nowhere near as steep as for A-10C. You could pick up most of what you need to know from just watching the videos and referencing the manual or best of all, coming on to the forums.:smilewink: I highly enjoy FC3 and will like it even more when the AFMs come out.
