WildBillKelsoe
the more features asked, the more we can see things in the sim. You dont want to flick switches alone, do you? with that said, I'll wish to cancel this thread because I just read the things they are hoping to accomplish for final release. Besides, bombing with a chopper is as stupid as it sounds... AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Davis0079
I'd rather they animate a group of soldiers throwing 55gal drums of "Agent Orange" out the side of the chopper then dumb bombs http://www.comanchero.org/UH1AgentOrange.htm ... It only takes two things to fly, Airspeed and Money.
Bushmanni
Actually those are kind of smart bombs. The Huey would fly at high altitude to the GPS coordinates he was supposed to bomb, establish hover and then drop the bombs. Pretty clever improvisation I would say. near_blind
It's an M-117 750lb bomb. It's the predecessor to the current Mk-80 series. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M117_bomb

I wonder what it feels like to drop a weapon that heavy from a comparatively light aircraft. Bet you'd have to be pretty quick with the cyclic and collective. schroedi
the chopper has to start from a special platform or the bomb under the belly would hit the ground - so not very practical.
