You keep editing your posts after I respond - just look at the editing time stamps lol.

Please - only say stuff that is correct, otherwise you are just giving us bad information.

Here is you saying the P51 has no steerable tail wheel...

And now it has magically disappeared!

OK OK you are right ! - I'm free to change my mind any time ! -something you seem not to be able to. (BTW: I cant see something wrong in it - I just deleted it because it is absolute Off-topic and the tail wheel of the P-51D has no place in this thread ... >>> http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=84536&d=1373089428)

and still: The P-51D has NO no steerable tail wheel -its wheel is 'free turning'- at will - but not 'steerable' - point.

But:

- so what about answering my Question ?! (after answering yours without insulting you; and isn't it 'funny ' that you can read it in your screenshoot?!)

- please go back to post#22 and read .

EDIT(17 min later): Seems you are speechless - so I'm.

At least I have to thank you to show 'us' a piece of your mind - just start reading again at post#1 to get my thought.

Than you will maybe see when 'it' has gone off track.

good fight - good night!

Now I am confused, too. Totally.

...

But anyhow, regarding "countersteering" ... I watched the vid and as far as I understood it, this technique only helps to "induce" the direction change as it helps the bike to lean into the desired direction - but from then on, the turn is conducted the "normal" way as you have to steer (or let the bike steer) the front wheel into the turn. If you simply would keep on pulling the handle in one direction but anticipate (and therefore lean into) the desired - other - direction ... it will hurt.

That's correct, it's only done momentarily to initiate the lean, done unconsciously, and as the article said, coutersteering is un-necessary at or below speeds walking pace.

So all in all, I'm not sure it's something that (other than pointing out it's necessity in cycling as an interesting fact) the consideration of will add greatly to your understanding of how to use the brakes on the A-10C.

But as I said - an interesting factiod all the same - you learn something every day...

Cheers.

I'm shocked on how you turned an incredible easy to understand argument, into a 3 pages discussion with a bunch of unnecessary complex explanations.

Yes, technical explanations are always welcome and entertaining, but if someone that have just started comes here to read.. he will run away shocked and with more confusion than before.

So if you are read this messages and you're going to scream: "wDAf!??!?!". Forget the previous 3 pages and remember only this phrases:

"When I PRESS (forward) the right pedal I go to the right"

"When I PRESS (forward) the left pedal I go to the left"

(and this is true for the nose wheel and the differential brakes of the A10C as well)

No more out of you two unless it is strictly on topic. Take it to PMs if you have to.

Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two.

The arguing over the semantics of a "steerable" tail wheel versus a "free turning" tailwheel was itself a highlight of the mad cap absurdity of internet discourse.

Warning: Nothing I say is automatically correct, even if I think it is.

Let's give it a rest then, shall we?
