DaveRindner Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 I am not certain, what I am doing wrong. But my A-10C is refusing to display EEGS funnell in Air-Air HUD mode. Both main arm and gun arm are on. AIM-9M's work fine, the gun fires, but becouse there is no funnel, I can't aim gun. LASTE and EAC work fine. I am thinking its a bug.

Have a funny feeling this may not be very clear in the manual. EDIT: Disregard last, explains it on page 576. IdleBoards Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 ^^^^ this. MAN-FXD defaults to a zero dimension/zero airspeed target upon initial power-up in DCS. If you want the EEGS funnel to function properly, use DMS to select another aircraft from the rotary, or change the MAN-FXD wingspan/length/airspeed in the IFFCC menu.
DaveRindner Posted August 5, 2013 Author Posted August 5, 2013 Ehhh. I am not checking! I do not understand what to do. My HUD is SOI, it is in AA mode, and I switch to DSMS on left screen. No funnell. What am I missing. I suspect this is a of A-10 with my video card. Quaddro 4000
IdleBoards Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 Use the HOTAS "DMS" switch when the HUD is SOI in A-A Mode to change the threat. It defaults to "MAN-FXD" which is why you dont see the EEGS or MRGS.

IdleBoards Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Actually, good sir, the A-10's Air-to-Air gun sight is a Level II EEGS with a stadiametric LCOS funnel, MRGS, FEDS, and AMIL.

IdleBoards Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 I don't see any differences between the one in DCS and the one in the real jet, and the one in the jet is described as a Level II EEGS, so I'd say so, yes. You disagree?
