Derbysieger
I finally remembered to record one of my refuel attempts and I didn't lose contact once! I have done this before, obviously. Sadly i didn't record my first attempts back in January where I failed miserably. Would have been a nice comparison :D YmJpsd8bN7s CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X | Mobo: Gigabyte X570 Aorus Pro | RAM: 64GB DDR4 3600 G.Skill TridentZ | GPU: Palit RTX3080 Ti 12GB | SSDs: 2xSabrent Rocket 1TB M.2 | Samsung Pro 256GB | Samsung EVO 850 500GB | Samsung QVO 1TB Peripherals: Warthog HOTAS | TrackIR 5 | MFG Crosswinds | 3xTM Cougar MFDs | HP Reverb G2
Tetra
Nice job  still struggling to get a clean run myself, you made it look very smooth. Also love the tanker decided to bank hard left on disconnect lol. My Mods: Radar Warning Receiver Audio Expansion G-Breath Sound Mod
Derbysieger
yeah they sometimes do this, I don't know why... but it happens from time to time. Never if there are other A-10s waiting behind me though ;) CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X | Mobo: Gigabyte X570 Aorus Pro | RAM: 64GB DDR4 3600 G.Skill TridentZ | GPU: Palit RTX3080 Ti 12GB | SSDs: 2xSabrent Rocket 1TB M.2 | Samsung Pro 256GB | Samsung EVO 850 500GB | Samsung QVO 1TB Peripherals: Warthog HOTAS | TrackIR 5 | MFG Crosswinds | 3xTM Cougar MFDs | HP Reverb G2
TimeKilla
I did not think it would take so long to refuel a A10, takes alot of practice by the looks of it. Well done. :joystick: YouTube :pilotfly: TimeKilla on Flight Sims over at YouTube.
PFunk1606688187
When I finally cracked this nut I looked back on my mission data and it said I was connected for over 2 minutes. It makes sense if you think about it. The maximum fuel flow of these booms is limited with fighter sized aircraft so the rate of refuel is a lot closer to Probe and Drogue speeds than people probably think most of the time. It really is one of those things that just clicks though. Its extraordinary when you realize it. I thought I'd clicked a few times before, then I realized everything I was doing wrong. Now I pretty much never disconnect more than once or twice unless the tanker is following retarded flight path with constant turns back and forth. Warning: Nothing I say is automatically correct, even if I think it is.

Derbysieger
Thanks guys ;) Practice, practice practice... If there is a tanker in a mission I'll most likely use it at least once. Very useful for longer missions like Operation Bactria or the Seperatists Aggression Campaign CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X | Mobo: Gigabyte X570 Aorus Pro | RAM: 64GB DDR4 3600 G.Skill TridentZ | GPU: Palit RTX3080 Ti 12GB | SSDs: 2xSabrent Rocket 1TB M.2 | Samsung Pro 256GB | Samsung EVO 850 500GB | Samsung QVO 1TB Peripherals: Warthog HOTAS | TrackIR 5 | MFG Crosswinds | 3xTM Cougar MFDs | HP Reverb G2
