Alicatt Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Don't laugh, something like that could actually be interesting. Perhaps extending the current available warehouse concept with actual budgets. For example, you have 10 000 000 USD for your war, what do do buy? Thousands of dumb MK-82 or a couple of Mavericks and WCMDs? :o) Oh now that takes me back a lot of years, when a 25MHz 486DX was the king of the heap and Chris Roberts' Strike Commander was released you had to budget for your load-out as a mercenary. AlphaOneSix Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 Jet A$4.78—$8.09 average $5.83that's per pound. Which country? In the U.S., the prices are correct, but per gallon not per pound... Jet-A weighs roughly 7 (6.71-ish) pounds per gallon, so average $0.87 per pound.
PalpableGlint2 Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 TO&E or MTO&E doesn't have anything to do with anyone's consumable supplies, be it ordnance, POL, chow, medical, anything. What MTOE does is prescribe for every individual unit how many people it is organized to have, how many vehicles, how many weapons (durable, non-consumable, serialized inventory, weapons, gas masks, etc). Everything consumable falls under a completely separate logistics system, or system of systems. I pretty much know that. I was speaking of the bigger picture.
VIKBELL Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 All wars seem to be a very expensive endevour. There are 2 categories of fighter pilots: those who have performed, and those who someday will perform, a magnificent defensive break turn toward a bug on the canopy. Robert Shaw
dpatt711 Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 I heard that contractors charge the government more for this stuff than they should...I remember seeing a picture of a single screw with the invoice that cost like $75 a pop or something. I wonder if that's true? Not to mention $640 for toilet lids.
