Hi,

has anyone here experienced a broken throttle with TM Warthog? Mine worked great for a couple of years, but currently the right side throttle axis does not work. So the buttons on the throttle work OK, but the HALL sensor stays quiet. I don't know where the problem is. (sensor, wiring, soldering?)

I could send this back to Thrustmaster, but postage alone would cost something like 100€...

Hi,

Contact thrustmaster support.

I contacted them. I could send it back so that they would fix it, but why pay 100€ to fix ONE component in a controller when a whole set cost about 300€... True, that is 200€ more, but then I'd have two... just in case someone models a multiengine plane like B-52 :)

But on a serious note, I took a peek inside, nothing looked to be a miss. Earlier I had to solder one hat switch on the stick, that problem was very easy to spot. Has anyone removed the HALL sensors? How to?

I too have had a problem with my right throttle. I thought for awhile I would just have to gang the two together and use them as one. I was noticing though, that the throttle would suddenly start working if I pushed it hard to the right side. I opened it up and made some "adjustment," and now it works great. Just wondering, have you tried moving it around side to side as you move the throttle up?

Buttons aren't toys! :smilewink:

If only the B-52 had 3 engines. :D

Hmm, i don't know how easy it is to access but i'd try measuring the current supply to the hall sensor. If there is a current, then either the magnet has fallen off (which i find unlikely) or some part of the respective channel in the integrated signal processor has failed.

Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two.

Had the same problem as yours, right throttle started to get flakey and then failed all together. No issues found after tearing it apart, can only assume the magnet failed or something.

I have noticed the the overall quality of the wiring inside both the throttle and the stick have room for improvement in areas.

So far I've gotten one new throttle set off ebay, and repaired two broken wires, both in the stick.
