No need to throw your PC. :D I'm just using (and compressing them with) WinRAR. Maybe this causes the problems. Maybe you can try this with WinRAR.

Speeking for version 1.2.? I hope you don't confuse about versions. There two different versions for v1.2.6 and v1.2.7OpenBeta.

 

I checked both; they work properly.

I downloaded WinRar and am trying to use it. Now I get this error:

 

! Write error in the file C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\Mi-8MTV2\Cockpit\Resources\Model\Textures\__rzi_0.724. Probably the disk is full

Access is denied.

You got this message while extracting mod files or while moving them into MI8MTV-STND-TEXTURES zip file?

 

Anyway; You can do that in long way:

• Extract MI8MTV-STND-TEXTURES zip in a folder.
• Extract my mod file in a folder.
• Transfer my files into Mi-8.
• Go in Mi-8's folder and select all files,
• Zip them with "MI8MTV-STND-TEXTURES" name.

It took several tries, but it works.

 

FINNALY I know what I'm clicking on!

Thank's for all your hard work on this excellent MI8 cockpit mod. I installed it today and it has made such a difference, speeding the learning process and encouraging me to really want to fly this aircraft.

Firstly, thanks for this awesome mod. It makes things much easier when you can understand at a glance what things do :).

 

Now 1.2.7 is out, will the version labelled for the beta still work with the final release? Will have to replace the older mod after updating is finished.

Actually current version of mod could have worked with DCS v1.2.7 Release, but some points were in my mind and I did little updates and uploaded a clean updated version of the mod.

 

So, please check the first page to download this mod for DCS v1.2.7.23097

I've just uploaded the mod v1.4a

You encountered this problem with that? Or you downloaded the mod for v1.2.6..

The fix is to download right version of the mod.

 

Though, I removed previous ones. Please download the updated file from first page for latest version of DCS World.

whats going on guys,

for the life of me I cannot figger out how to put the english cockpit textures in the mi8. I figgered it was as simple as copy and pasting but not so. Can someone please give a detailed instructions on how to do it please.

Hi.

 

To be more clear, I can suggest this way:

 

• First, extract the mod file into ..\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\Mi-8MTV2\Cockpit\Resources\Model\Textures folder.
   
  
• Now select 16 files (15xDDS and 1xTGA) and move them into MI8MTV-STND-TEXTURES.zip
  

That's it.

You should have put just the files, not a folder containing them, into the zip.
