vo.1 Blechreiz
Hi there, playing a CAS multiplayer mission yesterday ive ben excited like hell. But then I noticed massive FPS drops when other Hueys startet to fire their gatling guns. With some vehicles burning and smoking the game became unplayable when looking into that direction (turning away made the game run normal again). The other players on the server complained massive FPS drops, too. This plus the missing sounds make me a little sad right now. Is the smoke/tracer stuff related to DCS world? Can we expect a fix to this? Or is there a way to fix it for myself on my machine? (Pretty up to date system with AMD 7950, i5 2400k ..)

Yup this is more DCS World stuff especially the weapons firing the more stuff going on the slower it will get not much can be done, Search FPS tweaks might help. Sounds will be fixed likely with the new patch coming am not sure they can do much to the Huey model to make it when you look at another one more forgiving on our FPS some people have issues some don't. Nealius
Hell, my framerates dropped to the sub-20s when I arrived at the FARP on the very first campaign mission. I'm too afraid to continue any further.

I'm too afraid to continue any further. Hadn't any problems at this point. Usually near airports FPS drop but increase within 30-60 seconds again. Played another CAS yesterday and the FPS problem wasnt that worse. Ill be watching it :joystick:
vo.1 Blechreiz
Today the FPS went down to 1-10 FPS playing on multiplayer with some choppers. Its unplayable, waiting for new patch and telling friends to wait with buying UH-1/MI-8. Again all other players complained massive FPS drop. Mostly it seems to be gatling fire and burning/smoking objects on the ground and flying near areas with many objects/buildings. Untill the fight starts its usually playable. Edited September 28, 2013 by vo.1 [Blechreiz]
Teeps
I think it's partly just the sheer number of objects that have to be tracked when you fire the miniguns.
