I made a small pack with description.lua files from UH1H skins modified so they will not switch skins when rearming from Slick to Gunship and vice-versa

I recommend installing with JSMGE, in case something goes wrong you can revert and also is possible a fix from Belsimtek could be in the works already and you can uninstall this then.

 

Not only default skins are "fixed"... so if you don't have the skins from the pack you might want to delete those corresponding folders otherwise you will see the skins available in game but you will get orange missing texture all over your heli cause no DDS textures are provided in this pack.

Here are other examples of how the fix looks.

 

You can clearly see the gunners, weapons, flare dispensers, exhaust differences between the civilian and armed versions of the same skin. If you have a skin that doesn't work please post here.

 

Also please note that for now there is not a little tick button in UH1-H like P51 has to make it completely Civil for AI. Only humans and clients can be slick. Ai have weapons rack (empty) when no weapons are selected. This also might happen in multiplayer.

 

If you have another skin that is not included in the pack and you want it fixed please post here and I'll do it for you.

this is how custom skins looked before the fix on description.lua. they didn't had CIV section in them and all was messed up... including cockpit view although in theory that should not happen. By this fix those problems are solved.

i couldn't get it worked. i replaced desc.lua files with you have provided. and still gun points, flare pod etc remain.

uhm..if you want a slick or unarmend Huey the Task in your Mission has to be "Transport"

Oh ok , I have used ctrl h to change all uh's to civ uh , so I ruined the file lol.

And when I try this files by selecting ai , I can not see slick, but as player I can see slick

known Issue...only Player Aircraft can be seen as slick..AI is always armed. But you know..it is still a BETA:megalol:

Thanks, zaelu, for updating the skins. I haven't messed with the Huey in 1.2.6 and I wasn't even aware of the changes.

 

I have since uploaded 1.2.6 compatible versions of my skins (many description.lua files which are identical to your files), so thanks for holding down the fort in the meantime.
