New Win7 install ... less luck than on XP box.

Update: Someone pointed out that A10-C requires 64bit. So I checked on Steam and that's true.

Ka-50 ran wonderfully on XP. I don't know how.

But I ended up spending $70 on that ... and another $40 on A-10C.

HeyHo, my mistake.

Those two were meant to play together... given that XP was still a viable platform in 08 when Blackshark (version 1) was released.

It's come a long way since then.

If you've just updated to a 32bit OS (Win7) then that key should allow you to upgrade to 64... There are a few instances where that isn't the case but it's worth looking into provided you have the hardware to back it up (ie: more than 4gigs of RAM).

Just to close this thread off as Resolved

Here's what I just wrote to ED staff:

I owe you an apology.

DCS world is in the background, flying A-10C.

Here is what happened: a long time ago ... nearly 2 years ... a squad-mate who also loves helo told me about your Ka-50.

I looked at video. I bought the plane. I installed it, and loved it immediately.

See that? no problems! Black Shark worked fine! So I thought all was well.

I did not know it was 64bit.

Everyone
assumed
that I knew
. But I did not.

So things got confuse. And it was very frustrating.

Now all I need to do is walk through loading my trusty Ka-50 in with the material installed via Steam!

good hunting to all

So lets get this right, you had XP running KA50 BS 1, you now have Win7 64 or 32? with A10C from steam and you want KA50 on steam, AFAIK you can only do this if you buy KA50 BS2 from anywhere but off steam is probably safer. if on the other hand you just want to play BS1 install it outside steam as a standalone.

by safer I mean less complicated for you..

AMD A8-5600K @ 4GHz, Radeon 7970 6Gig, 16 Gig Ram, Win 10 , 250 gig SSD, 40" Screen + 22 inch below, Track Ir, TMWH, Saitek combat pedals & a loose nut behind the stick
