CH Fighterstick, Pro Throttle and Pro Peddles

Recommended Posts

Well I just got my CH Fighterstick, Pro Throttle and Pro Peddles....

I don't even know where to begin to set this thing up. I have the CH Manager, but do you have to have it? Can you just set the controls up in game if so how? :helpsmilie:

I'm just ready to jump in and :joystick:

Yeah, do you have your Combatstick setup in-game or are you using the CH Manager?

The CH Manager just seems rather confusing and well I tried setting up thing in-game and that too doesn't seem very user friendly. It not being user friendly and the abundance of controls to setup all just seems very daunting.

I use the CH Prothrottle and CH Fighterstick. You don't need to configue them using the CH Control Manager, just assign them keys in the game control section. Yeah, there are a lot of keys to bind, but that's the name of the game. I have some DCS profiles for them if you want them, you will just need to adapt them to your preference...

Well I was actually having trouble trying to assign them in-game. lol Seems retarded, but it's the truth, not sure why. It just wasn't the normal way of assigning keys, unless I missed something and when I say normal I mean you click the item you want to assign and then hit the button on your controller to assign it. Not to mention I'm just unsure of what controls are important enough to assign to the stick/throttle.

I wouldn't mind checking out your profile for them just to give me a starting point, that would be helpful.

Enique,

What aircraft do you fly? FC3? A-10C? I'll link you the appropriate CH profile.

I actually have P-51, A-10C, and FC3. If you have one for each would be great if not I'll take the ones you have.

I fly with a CH stick and peddles. For DCS I put CH manager in bypass and just set it all up in the sim.

What does that do? Wouldn't that be just like not using the CH Manager and setting up controls in-game?

Basically just wondering what's the advantage to doing that?

Here you are! Just place them into the proper Input folder [C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input] and then load them from the options page.

For Ch controllers I thought the method you suggested, setting the controls up in the game, would be the easiest, but where do you find the names for the buttons and axes? Flying A-10C.

double click with your mouse on the command you want to map, then push the button (or move axes) on your controller you want to use for that command. no need to know names for buttons and axes.

enique, et al,

Sure you don't NEED Control Manager v4.55, BUT you wouldn't be getting all the programability using only Windoz drivers. I (being a SW and HW Beta Tester for CH Products) highly recommend using Control Manager 4.55 if for nothing else at least calibrating your devices.

As for assigning your devices in this game (yes I typed game ;) ) THIS may help you out.

As for other games, Control Manager does a great job of mapping your devices either as a single controller, or multiple ones to include the ProPedals ;)

Most, if not all CH Products programming questions can be answered at Revvins site: www.ch-hangar.com
