Einherjer Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 I have started to build a little Pit between the Couch and the rabbit Cage. My goal was to keep Pit funktional, not a rebuild of a a-10 but inspired of it. It startet with a right Hand console, but it wasn't that great ive expectet. Next thing was a left Hand console - a really early try. Oh Look! A Car seat! A screen for helios And a Touchscreen for the CDU Put all togerher!

Einherjer Posted November 11, 2013 Author Posted November 11, 2013 (edited) My two-Squaremeter Pit great start ! Thanks :) Reworking the right console Not yet ready Rotary switches Thats my Place to fly! Päb ? What do you think? Oh thanks! i think its great too ;) I Need a panel to adjust the HDG and CRS bug! Also the frequencys of the ILS and TACAN So i Build my own idea of a sim-UFC Soldering the encoders Ready! But this is Not the End. When i get my new house, i will rework it completly - and when a A-6 intruder will be released .... Oh i dream about it ;) Edited November 11, 2013 by Einherjer

Deadman Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Hey its great to see you using real panels that is a chalenge the pit looks great keep up the good work:thumbup: https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
agrasyuk Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 I especially like how you used the limited space you have Anton. My pit build thread . Simple and cheap UFC project
Einherjer Posted November 11, 2013 Author Posted November 11, 2013 Thanks guys! The real Panels are nice to work with, there are maybe 200m of cabels in one of these small boxes - Great engineering! I try to use the most original Rotary dials, but some cant be used wirhout a lot of Programming. Eg. The frequency dials from the ARC-34 ... I think i have to replace them by 5 encoders - therefor i need 10 more Input channels on a buttonbox Interface. So ... Next Time i buy one, i will make the radio full funktional (just the switches and dials, the frequeny gauges is way to much work)
Einherjer Posted November 11, 2013 Author Posted November 11, 2013 I especially like how you used the limited space you have That was the challenge! It's rally tight in there, maybe more like in a BF109 Cockpit then in a A-10 one. The left and right consoles are quiet high too (i will lower them when i rework the whole pit) It's Great that the carseat is mounted on two rails, so i slide it all the way back to grawl in and out.
Scarecrow Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Very nice compact multipurpose pit. Almost a "Swiss Army Pit" really :)
Einherjer Posted December 6, 2013 Author Posted December 6, 2013 A Minor addon - gear lever ;) I decited to rework the whole Pit as a AV-8B/ GR.7 Harrier Pit , but this will Take Time.
