First of all we would like to express our deep gratitude to Enigma for creating and hosting the server, above and beyond, and turning it into one of the most successful servers in DCS. 

Cold War is at the core of DCS and the popularity for it keeps ever growing. The server numbers speak for themselves, as the community has been greatly invested into it from the very start. 

While I will not go into the details of why Enigma is discontinuing the server management - he explains that himself in the video below - we decided to take on the responsibility to continue to host the cold war server. 

It is an important server to preserve, and of course, our own modules thrive in its environment. That said, this is not about our modules, but about giving back to the community, by providing this server as a continued and free service to it, as is. 

If any of you have concerns: 

The server will not be a Heatblur promotion server, there will be no favoritism of Heatblur modules or weapons.

The ECW staff will remain at large, and continue their work, our job will be to provide them with what they need so they can do so.

We mean to preserve the server as is, because simply: one should never change a winning team. Decisions made, will be made towards that goal alone.

All modules will continue to get the same consideration whether benefitting the server/ mission environment or not, as before, including our own future modules of course.

For you, as players, in principal not much will change, except the name (after a while) and that the server discord will be transitioned from Enigma's to ours before 1st of July as a transition phase, and after 1st of July definitively. Server IP, missions, etc. will all remain the same. We will put up a section for the server on this discord asap.

There will be no need for donations anymore, as the server and all that it requires will be provided by us, as a free service to the community.

Bottom line: our intention is not to "take over" the server, but to preserve it. And we will be looking forward to working together with the Enigma staff to support this endeavor for a long time to come and help it not only to continue but also to grow and to thrive. 

A big thank you goes out to Enigma, the Enigma staff and of course, the Enigma Cold War Community.

Update first post with module release and New /  Updated 3D models (on continuos update).

  1. Some new weapons and other items on Mirage F-1 (Some AIs and others to module pilot):
    1. AM-39 Exocet
    2. BRP-250 Bomb
    3. JL-100 rocket lauchers / drop tank
    4. Matra PHIMAT
    5. PTB-1200 F1
  2. Three sets of weapons (Aft, Port, Stbd) for the CH-47F:
    1. M3M
    2. M60D
    3. M240H
  3. No new infatry on that update.
