No Velocity Vector??

Hey All,

 

I have a new problem and it is that I don't see the velocity vector on my HUD in the A10a, A10C or the F15c..

 

Now I have triple screens and did not notice it before but maybe something broke in the newest patch??

 

Here is a screenshot of the A10c note the HUD it seems out of wack:

Is your INS aligned ?

In the INS page did you switch to NAV ?

Did you switch to EGI nav mode ?

 

 

I'm not much of a skilled pilot on the hog yet, but usually double checking these solved it for me (always forget to enable the EGI !!)

 

 

Edit: forgot to mention to also enable the EAC (just under the left engine's throttle lever, hidden if you don't move your view using 6DOF)

Yes Yes and Yes this all is Automatically done in the Quick Combat missions something else is amiss.. It is there when I bank left and pull back on the stick just not in level flight it is missing.. so it is there I just cant see it in level flight..

Everything is ok, in the picture in your ADI you can see that you have pitch up an your plane is ascending at nearly 1500ft/min. In your Hud the only line visible is the one who marks the horizon. Your velocity vector should be above that line and of course out of your vision.

 

Try to adjust your zoom in the cockpit and reset the TrackIR until you can see the HUD better.

ok here is a Piuc on the ground NO veleocity vector and where it should be is Minus 10Degrees The Hud is misaligned here is a Screenshot on the ground and it should be there:

Your seatposition is waaaaaaaaaay too high. Stationary your VVI is on the end of the runway. Bring down your seatposition and you should be good (provided all systems are up and running off course).

There's the seat raise/lower switch on the left side of the cockpit, somewhere on the left of the landing gear lever

But I never needed to do that before. I will say it is also happening on the F-15c and the A10A.. Not just the C..

 

Well I found the seat adjust it was not that.

OK I had disabled ALL mods and I also did a Repair of DCSW .. here are some screenshots of the Seat Lowered all the way down and one with it all the way up:

OK I had solved my problem.. I was informed that with the TrackIR this is Normal behavior of the HUD..

 

I just need to adjust the seat and MOVE my Head Forward to see the HUD.. I was informed this is how it REALLY Works.

No they can Just move their head Forward tho.. and it is wear not where..

Well I also found out I can adjust the "Y" Axis.. What was happening is was when I got the TrackIR little to my knowledge it sends Info to the Sim of Head Position which in turn threw off the HUD picture..

 

I was talking with HomeFires last night about it and he stated what I needed to set to get it corrected.. So it was a "Y" Axis and Neck Mod Adjustment and voila here is what I see now..

 

One is with head back in normal position and 2nd screenshot with my Head Moved in to see the lower part of the HUD.. I had Never had a TrackIR before so this was NEW to me..

Do you have anything nice to say or is Troll your middle name.. I was experimenting with settings and adjusted it I now am getting 35FPS in that same mission..

 

Not bad considering I have an older video card and need to duplicate what is being rendered 6 times.. 3 for the triplescreen and 3 more for the S3D....

OH OK.. Well your first post back seemed a little sarcastic then you just drop a dookie saying my FPS suck seemed like you where just trolling.. You could of just said Wow those FPS seem Awfully low.. ;)

 

But Yes they seemed low in the FPS counter but actually it seemed very smooth.. perhaps the FPS counter was not too accurate..

 

I did adjust the Graphics level and it seemed to go up to 35FPS which was even smoother.. I think these older drivers I use are not too optimized for DCSW.. But perhaps when Edge comes out which will be DX11 it will improve..

Well it appears to be a glitch with the fraps software. Perhaps a frame buffering problem as the FPS are not really that low it would be a slide slow and besides it does it in all my games and I know I am not getting 12 in all of them ;)

Hey Mike,

 

I found out why mt FPS where so low.. I was using a 3 screen config for the monitor setting in CP I set it too a TripleHead Monitor Config which basically sees 1 monitor and voila FPS are about 50 in that instant action mission now..
