February 16th 2014 will mark one year since we launched the Virtual Aerobatics dedicated server & website. The past year has been a simply incredible experience for us all here at Virtual Aerobatics. A small site and server has grown into a fantastic community where pilots of all abilities learn new skills and share those skill with one another.

To celebrate our 1st anniversary, we will be hosting our first virtual air show featuring aerobatic teams and solo pilots who have supported us from the start and helped develop our community into what it has become. A participants list will be released closer to the show but, needless to say, it will be a very special event with many of the most popular teams from the DCS / Lock On community. A day of top quality flying and other celebratory events is being planned with teams such as the ‘Virtual Black Diamond Jet Team‘, ‘Virtual Horsemen‘ (doing their first full 3 ship routine since moving to DCS) & the VAT ‘Angels & Demons’ already confirmed. Some incredible solo demonstrations are also planned including VEAO‘s Hawk Solo, Shahdoh’s P-51 solo, VTB_Ray’s ‘Bob Hoover Routine’ & Sawamura in the ‘VAT Berkuts’ Mig29 solo.

As with VFAT this year, the event will be stream on our ‘Live Events Area‘ and our teamspeak server will be open to all.

More will be released closer to event – We look forward to seeing on Sunday Feb 16th 2014

;1943097']Well done guys!

You provide an excellent platform for all non combat operations! Its always a pleasure to join in and have some relaxed fun without the pressure of being shot at!

Hope too see you guys going strong in the years to come!

Thanks Mav!

Hope to see you at the show!

Its down to the pilots who frequent our server that VA has been the success that it has! I checked the server logs yesterday and I will be running a little competition via our FB page.

Akin to how many sweets in the Jar, How many unique pilots have we had!

I will find a module to give away :)

Congratulations !

Volunteering for the greater community has always been part of a few, dedicated and skilled Pilots and Administrators, changing things for the better and making things available normal Pilots could not make reality

Thank you very much for hosting the best public Virtual Aerobatic Server.

Whenever I go MP, VAS is the first Server I check out and usually the one where I hang out on.

The comradeship among all Pilots is outstanding, very well managed, no bad language and usually

we all have a BALL :)

Keep on the good work !

Thanks for the kind words Maverick, it's been a blast. There's been a few moments where we've felt like pulling our hair out but, for the most part, it's a great thing to be a part of :)

Never let your fun be spoiled by a few that just don't value what you do.

Always think of the 99% fellow Pilots knowing what you are doing for them and that we all honor your deeds.

When I had 2 ded. BF Servers in the datacentre for years, I also came to the point of throwing it all away...but I actually never did and kept going on until I lost fun in any BF gaming and went back to FlightSims.

It is a work that not all know what it all takes, time, money, frustration, phone calls and time with the family that you traded for managing the server, this is priceless !

Hats off Sir
