The guys I'm getting high pings from are from... germany, austria, australia... but that's half the fun of playing is getting guys in from those areas.

Yeah, while I'm overseas I'm on a satellite Internet connection. But I'll be home in just a couple of weeks and all will be well (until my next trip).

Any work at all going into streamlining the netcode in some fashion to reduce the impact of the high/er pings?

 

I think it's quite an accomplishment that I can play with relative smoothness with folks all over north america- but is it an accepted reality that we will always be limited to playing within a template that size?

 

Will there be added efficiency in the future?

 

I'm not nagging- I'm just curious... some of the people I've had the most fun playing with in the sim are from overseas.

a new stress test, for what, first they need to analyse the last logs and patch the beta version.

Um ... no. The more test data the better - unless you have the extremely unlikely scenario where the system is always running in exactly the same conditions, and is failing exactly the same way.

 

If I tested any of my projects just once, and then said I was done testing, I'd get fired :P

 

This is why there are hundreds or thousands of people in the open beta: multiple tests with slightly different conditions result in slightly different failures, which give you more data about the root underlying issue.

Yes there will be another test, at least in the short term for now we plan to do a stress test once a week at the weekend!

 

So again we're looking forward to you guys joining us this weekend, hopefully we can get a strong turnout!

One thing I noticed during test was I could not change ROE for gunner number 3 in the Huey. The other 2 could change no problem. I checked in SP and it worked fine
