Hey All,

 

this approach to have a beta tested by willing hardcore players is far better than fixing issues after the release. It pays back many ways.

 

If there wouldnt be the openbeta you either had:

 

A: No patch yet at all since they were still trying to fix issues which are hard to find with a very limited number of testers/hardware.

 

B: A real buggy patch that would annoy each and everyone and spoil the community.

 

 

I happily crash over and over again with VA's, Eno's or DCS's server to find any bug hidden in the code.

 

 

 

In general, why do we play for endless hours with our toys aka Code(s):

Trial & Error is the best way to learn anything ! People who only know HOW things work are generally bad troubleshooters since they don't know a single trail apart from the known path that they know works. People who trial & error along will know many many more ways that a code can go, they can find troubles alot faster since they most likely have been already where you/I are stuck now. Also knowing how things DON'T work can be more rewarding than just knowing how it works.

 

After troubleshooting networks for 10+ years now I have drawn more success ( and money and saved time ) by knowing how things dont work.

Just by hearing what is the symptom a thing comes to your mind " I have been there too while learning it, playing with it.

 

Don't moan, PLAY HARDER :)
