MFG Crosswind - Review

Recommended Posts

OmiGod. Thats not 'Some Assembly Required." Thats "Kit Assembly. Some engineering skills required." Couldn't they just ship the thing assembled?

A few bolts? And the reason why the pedals don't come attached is because of moment. It can break the pedal during shipping.

It looks daunting, but it really is not.

ALERT: Christmas will be in Janurary 2016.

I was hoping to make the December shipping list, but made the January 2016 list. In anticipation, I have already made the mounting board for my homemade simpit.:(

Oh well, on the bright side, the money will stay in my account earning 0.05% interest.:megalol:

Don't give me a P-38,

The props they counter-rotate,

They're battered and smitten from Burma to Britain.

Oh, give me operations way out on some lonely atoll,

For I am too young to die, I just want to grow old.

I watched the video on assembly a couple of times, really didn't look too bad. Guess I will know for sure when I get mine.

Packed to survive any shipping 'event'. Can't complain about that. :)

I received mine today (S/N 1201), assembly was a snap. Unpacking was a different story - the package looked like it was ready for an air drop into Siberia. My advice, watch the videos on unpacking and assembly.

Congrats!

I look forward to hearing your impressions.

Is FedEx the delivery service in the USA?

Mine still show sitting in customs in NYC due to missing, incorrect, incomplete or illegible export documents. Milan assures me it's no problem and I'm trying to be positive but I'm becoming less confident every day. I'll give it until Monday next week then Milan, as the shipper will have to find out what is going on.

Mine was delivered by FedEx. The morning of the day it arrived, tracking still had it in Import/Export processing in Miami.

Jim

But did yours have problems in customs with paperwork?

I've heard other people say the same thing about receiving them even though tracking still showed them in customs. As far as I know I'm the only one that is showing an issue with paperwork.

There didn't seem to be any problem in customs. It cleared in about 3 business days, then was transferred to the parcel delivery centre. When I left home on an errand on the 28th, tracking still showed the package still being in Import/Export processing. When I returned about 1:30, it had been delivered.

Me too!!

Hope you have better luck then me. I'm still waiting for mine to be delivered. I doubt FEDEX will deliver it on Saturday so I'm looking at maybe next week now. Which will be closer to 2 weeks, if not beyond. Most people in the US seem to have received theirs in about 7 or 8 days. I bought the RealSimulator FSSB R3, paid $35.00 shipping and received it in 2 days from Spain. I paid this guy $68.00 shipping a week ago and am still waiting. Something wrong there. I know he switched shipping companies recently to give Europeans a cheaper rate. Hope this doesn't become an issue for people in the future.

Mine was in customers for 4-5 days for some reason. But I can't blame Milan for JFK/Customs delays.

Not blaming Milan, but his choice of shippers. My FSSB still had to clear customs and I received it it wihin 2 days includng clearing customs becsuse they used FEDEX from the beginning with in house customs I believe.

And, since it's near impossible to get accurate tracking with his shipper, it appears my pedals have been in customs in NYC for 6 days already.
