  5. The DCS Tutorial Collection will now close its doors, and I'm giving up on keeping my website up to date. The reason is simply because it doesn't really make any sense anymore. There are meanwhile so many Tutorials out there, and they get outdated in a very short timeframe due to Module features additions and thus new required Tutorial Elements. These Elements are covered well by the DCS Community, but maintaining the Website with this information is pretty much impossible. Thank you for your support so far, and we eventually get to see us in the Skies in DCS.

  7. Sounds interessting. Didn´t consider that as important before. I would be very pleased if the following would be achieved: 1. Logical and realistic tasking with appropriate packages 2. Challenging AI which applies real life procedures to counter the players actions like proper BVR tactics, sambushs and the ability to attac the players fraction were they are weak. 3. Consistant and usefull AI comms. 4. The ability for the player to set own packages and flights with their own tasks within the limmits of supplies and resoures. 5. The ability to switch between modules, so u can choose those sorties you want to fly at any given moment. Like flying a weasel mission in the F16 on one day and doing some supplie transports in the chinhook the other day. 6. A good intel function where you can build your gameplan on. 7. The ability to preplan threads and secondary targets as well as divert fields and so on. 8. The ability to quickly generate your own kneeboard for the sortie. 9. A easy way to load your plan into the DTC. 10. Maybe the most important thing would be reasonable AI wingmans which behave like a real one would. Therefore a better command system is needed. Maybe something like the Jester wheel. Just like other sim 4.38 did. But yes, some sort of rank system, espacially for the AI would be great.

  9. A suggestion for future improvements would be to revisit the dynamic sounds of the Apache, particularly focusing on rotor noises such as bladeslap. The current sound design is excellent—no question about that. The engines sound fantastic, and overall it provides a solid foundation. However, a significant enhancement to immersion, in my opinion, would be to introduce more dynamic variation in effects like bladeslap. This video illustrates exactly what I mean: Additionally, it might be worth considering a collaboration with Echo19, who already has several renowned references. He demonstrated impressively with the Kiowa how effectively a rich and realistic soundscape can be implemented. Adding a bit more dynamic variation and making the bladeslap more pronounced would be the cherry on top.
  10. Frankly what would be nice: A little indication in the ME when setting up a unit to act as JTAC on what it is capable of or not.

  13. Not yet, the team is evaluating the documents they have, and carefully looking whether or not "clean" means with or without pylons.
  14. I think if weapons malfunction are to be added. Do it to AI weapons first. Hung bomb, air to air missiles engine failing to start. SAM missiles going off, or even exploding right after launch (particularly older SAMs like SA-2 to SA-6) this will add some variation to the missions. Without directly causing annoyance to the players.

  17. The elevation can be found in the kneeboard at the waypoints list. Every altitude in this list represents the actual flying altitude except the target waypoint which represents the ground elevation of the target.

  20. 1. Irag is nowhere near fully developed yet, so campaign creators need to wait for a lot of the regions to be more developed. Iraq South is not even released yet. 2. Campaigns take time. And they generally try to mimic, or give a sense of, real missions flown. See point 1.
  21. As far as I can tell both the tractors and the waypoint action have been put in for future use and there are no 'active' trailers as of yet. At least I haven't seen one.
  22. It is allways getting verry quiet after this bug is brought up. I think it is a serious bug, thats why I brought it up years ago and now. It gets a bit frustrating to have to wait for a few years again, and then having to bring it up again. So.. Is there someone who can give some feedback about the contrail problem ? If it is impossible to fix, then it would be usefull to get a way to turn the contrails off. Just an answer, from someone who knows the facts about this bug please. Regards

  24. Good immersive campaigns should contain things like: Career: Squadrons with named AI members + statistics (kills, #mission, rank etc). They get shot down, get transferred, new ones arrive and so on Pilot photos Promotions + medals News bulletins about the war on a daily or weekly basis Transfer possibilities to other squadrons Continue career in a new campaign / map Dynamic campaign Frontline movement based on mission results Logistics / supply affected by mission results The "Career" part is most important imo and could be used in historical campaigns with more static frontlines.

  26. Hi, Thanks for the reply. I am working on a complex mission. Some infantery JTAC are IR capable, some are Laser capable, some others are unable to do anything. The HMVEE is working but difficult to hide in a city! Any chance to have an update of the infantery JTAC in order to the same capability of vehicles? Thanks, Vincent
