  2. In dcs I can see things clearly with nvg up to 10-ish km, I think it's being too clear actually.
  3. Thank you for the answer. I should have mentioned in my edit that I did have better results with a 1500ft airburst and above. Yet it's still extremely difficult to damage light armoured vehicles with it. Usually it take one precise direct hit and seems in inflict no damages to other nearby vehicles and objects. In CCIP on moving targets I can visually see the area of impact being clearly on top of the vehicles but doesn't do much more than a cloud of dust. I'll test a little more and come back with additional results.

  6. Thanks @MadMonty I have the same experience as @Katmandu in the Caucasus. (Flying low in a valley with forest.) i thought it was caused by the new update (few weeks back) wich also updated the Caucasus map a bit visual. Would be nice to fly low through the valley without stutters. I was also thinking about using Process Lasso.
  7. It's funny I've just flown a few winter missions in the P-47, and was surprised that the engine warmed up just fine at 1200 RPM in about 5 minutes. With time acceleration that's nothing. A pre warmed engine checkbox will be absolutely essential for carrier ops though.
  8. As a red4life pilot, I have admit that those are some fantastic news! Eurofighter was already a much welcomed surprise, but Rafale in addition, makes me a double agent now! Amazing! Keep at it ED & 3rd parties!
  9. I'm working on a MiG-29 cockpit for fabrication using CNC metal cutting and 3D printed plastic components. I need precise diameter of any perfectly round object on X and Y plane or width and height of a rectangle. If someone have photos with accurate mesurments please share. Thanks for all the info.

    What is Galinette?
  11. Have no idea. Never heard of it. Sorry.
  12. Yeah, totally agree. I miss when buying something came with tangible extras like patches or stickers. It really made the experience feel more personal. I’ve seen some companies and fan groups bring that back by making custom embroidered patches for collectors or limited-edition releases. It’s actually not too expensive to do small runs, and they look awesome displayed or sewn onto jackets. Would be cool if more brands started doing that again!
  13. Anyone tried 1.42 with a Pimax 8kX so far? @Calvin.Pimax : Is it advisable to run 1.42 on an 8kX?
  14. Since it's not recommended, then let's not do it. I think I can now meet my needs based on your suggestions. Thank you! You have been of great help to me. I can now smoothly export the data of the group and regenerate the group with them. There is just one problem: the newly generated group cannot perform the tasks of the original group. I think I completely copied the data of the group.
  15. The module has come a LONG way from when it was released. It's still getting love so no need to worry - my own opinion of course.
  16. Instant buy for me. So excited, can't wait!
  17. In addition to my Thrustmaster pedals and Virpil collective, I have a WinWing throttle, a WinWing joystick, and the WinWing PTO2 connected to my PC. I've now noticed that I can no longer log into my Microsoft account (login.live.com) because the cursor immediately starts jumping from one input field to the next. It feels like someone is rapidly pressing the arrow key (or Tab key) repeatedly. Even if I move the PROBE Emerg Extd switch on the PTO2 panel to the down position, the cursor on the login.live.com page quickly moves 'right' through all the input fields, and if I move the switch to the middle position, the cursor quickly moves 'left' until it almost stops pulsating when I press 'back'. This phenomenon has only occurred on the Microsoft login page (login.live.com) and across multiple browsers, and only when WinWing devices are connected. It almost feels as if the Microsoft login page is polling the joystick movements. Perhaps someone has a solution so I don't have to unplug all my WinWing devices every time I want to log in to Microsoft. I have two PCs, and the same phenomenon occurs on both. Thank you and best regards, Markus P.S. A user describes a similar problem on Reddit here: https://www.reddit.com/r/antivirus/comments/1grw3ix/loginlivecom_cursor_moves_away_from_field_instant/

  19. No this mod is very out of date especially with the cockpit scripts and functions and it gets worse with every updated ED makes to the F-16. I've tried comparing each file with those of the latest F-16 to add and update any changes myself but really don't know what I'm doing. Holding my breath in hope somebody skilld at editing lua files will make us a temporary fix until the developers resurface.
  20. I removed the active pause on and off in the training file, so that the wingman can "survive". I'm still not convinced that the mission runs like it should... Lesson 26 - AIM120 LINK and Multi Targets Pt 2.miz
  21. Hello, I'm currently experiencing a trouble with you app: it is impossible to update it and the only version that is available is the 0.9.0, which not patch some bugs. Thank for you helps and your work on this app!
  22. At the bottom of the mission edit, try to find a clock icon (Historical list of units) and click it (turn it off)!!
  23. VD is a display streamer, and DCS has no knowledge of the VD. It's everything to do with your system software and hardware, starting with your motherboard, 802.11ax router, clean channel availability, etc, as well as VD configuration. Increased latency can indicate a retransmission situation, i.e. increased/high error correction, however figuring out at which exact layer it's happening is a rather involved troubleshooting activity. The VD app itself can be fighting for the pc resources with DCS running, so a windows process prioritization is also important, i.e. the lower bandwidth requires less CPU resources for compression, vs. high bandwidth, etc.
  24. Hello, I have purchased the F-14 Mod on Steam. If I can fly the aircraft in quick action mode, it is impossible to select this fighter in the mission editor. It does not appear in the USA list for modern era nor cold war... Do you have ideas to solve this problem? Thank you for your help.
  25. Hey folks, is the SUFA running properly for most of you? My version is crashing to desktop on a regular basis. The sniper pod has no working skin and Iris-T is not to be found anywhere. The mod worked for a ehile but know it seems DCS became allergic against the SUFA... Unfortunately. Anymore having the same issues or can someone help to fix? It seems like DCS "cleans or repairs" itself from time to time too and the mod is gone from my computer... I just have no clue what I am doing wrong. Thx
  26. Effective range of the AN/ALR-56M is dependent on the output power of the detected emitter so there's not a single definite number, but suffice to say that the AN/ALR-56M can detect emitters at extreme ranges, before you are within max tracking range of the detected emitter.
  27. I'm having some trouble understanding how bitrate works in relation to latency, in particular in Virtual Desktop. Obviously the former influences the latter, but do the effects vary depending on the game? Let me explain: my 6G system handles h.264+ well at 500, in fact even selecting the automatic mode VD suggests values of 450+. With most games I don't have lag, but with DCS (notoriously heavy despite the 5090) I do. Lowering it to 300 makes the lag disappear. Is this normal? I thought that latency depended only on the bitrate, since if set to 500 (or another value) the flow of data to be processed is always the same, regardless of the game/setting. I notices that the spikes I got at 500 may be linked to ms increase in network latency. What do you think? Thanks
