  1. Hi folks, A quick note to let you know that there's a new tutorial on my site: ALAMO vs AMRAAM; MiG-29 vs F-16C. You'll find it on the A2A page. It's similar to "R-27ER VS AIM-120: Winning the SARH vs ARH Duel" but the shorter-range R-27R replaces the R-27ER. If you've already seen "Winning the SARH vs ARH Duel" there's not much new here. Things just get a bit tighter. I made this for someone having a problem and figured I might as well share it with the community at large. This tutorial is only available as video. Created with V1.12. Download size: 57.4MB (Edited to reflect that this tutorial was created with V1.12 not V1.02.) Rich

  2. I decided to start a new thread since the "Adding trees" mod has evolved; The added trees are now being integrated into one new scenery file! Download new (beta) scenery file here...! http://rapidshare.de/files/9284285/high_beta1.zip.html Benefits: one file does it all, Added trees are loaded by default, no need to use utilities or to copy/rename object files, no need to edit old mission- or campaign files, Added trees no longer stick out as static objects do, Weapons will no longer lock on to the added trees, Added trees will no longer sink into the ground when hit by armour or shrapnel.Installation: Backup file high.scn in folder ..lockon\bazar\terrain\scenes and remove it. unzip the dowloaded file in the above folder and rename it high.scn Start LockOn, select scenes=high in the graphics menu and FLY!Note: This is a Beta version meaning some work has to be done; The compilation software is not running perfect yet so some default objects might be missing and only 6 airbases have been re-done so far: Sukhumi Anapa Sochi-Adler Kerch-Bacherovo Belbek MaykopSome shots.... More shots in the 'users screens' section Go ahead and have a go. It's worth it, you'll see!

  3. My error. This was made with V1.12. I need to go back and edit my original post. I mistakenly wrote "1.02". Thanks for the question. (Edited to add: ) Cosmonaut, You might be onto something but I don't know enough about the technology involved. I do know that in the past things created with a computer monitor looked horrible on a TV and vice versa. If I recall correctly video CDs looked pretty bad on a computer because the resolution wasn't there. Rich

  5. I don’t have a CH stick but could turning off the FFB in the producer.cfg file help this situation? Worth turning it off anyway even if you have a FFB stick. Why it doesn’t come turned off as default is beyond me. Anyway it probably wont help but worth a try seeing as it only takes a second to do; C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Eagle Dynamics\Lock On\Config Open ; producer.cfg and change ForceFeedbackEnabled = true; To; ForceFeedbackEnabled = false; Exactly as it is written with no caps;

  6. Hello all, After almost 3 months and some 350 manhours of hard labour, I'm proud to release the FINAL version of my modded Scenery file. Download high.scn final1 here: http://rapidshare.de/files/13528346/high-scn_final_1.zip.html For slower PC's I also made a medium scnery file. http://rapidshare.de/files/13528983/medium-scn_final_1.zip.html Anyone is invited to mirror the files. Installation: - Move file high.scn and/or medium.scn in folder ..lockon\bazar\terrain\scenes to a safe location. - Unzip file high.scn and/or medium.scn into the mentioned folder. - Start lockon and select scenes=high in the graphics menu and FLY! Contents: The modd adds about 1900 objects. Some 1500 of them are tree formations. All objects are positioned on and around airbases and surrounding towns. In addition I've created something extra: - Industrial site (45°49'22"N - 33°31'34"E) - Armour storage fascillity (45°38'19"N - 34°28'48"E) - Scout grass-airfield (43°31'00"N - 43°36'48"E) - Seperatists hide-out (43°08'24"N - 41°56'23"E) - Seperatists hide-out (43°23'27"N - 41°18'08"E) I hope you enjoy this mod as much as I do and look forward to seeing the additions in your screens and movies. Cheers, Birdy
