  1. You just don’t know how much is done on the on AI or other software part of the Lock On. Graphics is easy to show and that’s why they are showing it. And we all can see the progress. Lock On RULEZ!

Hi im new here , i have joined to add new 3d models into lomac i use 3dmax 7 , i make all my own models from scratch/ drawings - i don't skin or animate but i do build military stuff i have just finished a 8914 poly ZUBR hovercraft or air cushion which might be cool in the mission editor to make some fun missions . the model is currently in parts and is material coloured at present - it is not uvw'd or skinned in 3d max . i am happy to make it available for someone to skin and add to lomac via the conversion plug in. I'm with you Starlight ... this is all very pretty but does it improve the flight models of the fighters or weapons or fix the chronic problems with missile seekers or radar systems or jammers or the dumb AI or radio chatter or weather modelling or extend the battlefield or .... If LO is aiming at being a tank sim ... there are better sims out there!

  8. It's been a while, but IIRC, you can either keep evading their AA-9s (until they run out - works better if you gradually take the fight to lower altitudes where missile range is less) or you can let the other friendly CAPs grab their attention before you kill them.

  9. sorry for this kinda "hijacking" the thread but I wanted to show my point... I think the issues in the screenshots I posted are far more important that having bullet ricochet modelled or the helo blades moved by the wind... just my point of view. and also from the operational point of view, AI laydown attack runs and SEAD procedures should be really addressed in some patch... they actually suck!

  10. More F-117 was not shut down because of the overwhelming air defense suppression power applied against Yugoslavian air defense ground radars and SAM’s. There were ate least 20 countries against Yugoslavia. Order of battle shows you that in pure numbers there was almost 10 NATO aircraft for every one of Yugoslavian. Damaged NATO aircraft could glide from Yugoslavia to land. That is how high they flew and how close friendly airports were. Even with all of that, Yugoslavia managed to hit one F-117 and one F-16 and to damage few more NATO airplanes. In their own book, A10 Over Kosovo, A-10 pilots admitted that they could not hit almost anything. On the end of NATO military intervention over Yugoslavia, it turned out that ground forces and lots of the air force was intact.

  12. I dont know the number of this, but im pretty sure that 80% of the ground vehicles (the updated ones) are made by 3rd party modelers, and not ED.

  13. It took me about 1 1/2 hours plus 1 hour gathering reference. I'll optimize it for use in LockOn today and if everything goes fine with the export it should be available within the next few days for download.

  14. Rhen - this is a known bug and I believe one of the devs commented a few months back that 1.2 (Black Shark) is going to fix it. Until then, I've added a shortcut to graphics.cfg on my desktop, and whenever I enter the Options screen in LockOn (this is what is causing it to revert back to 1.3333), I then exit out and change the aspect ratio back to 1.6 before going flying again.
