It's funny how this is turning into another flame war. AMRAAM is undermodelled in range, and so is the sidewinder, in LOMAC. There's enough HUD tape footage to prove this. /All/ missiles are undermodelled in one way or another when it comes to seekers, though the heaters seem to be doing just about as they should. This ACMI demonstrates a common seeker or network effect problem, which happens with -any- missile. Anyone remember the R-73 ACMI? Yeah. So why's this flame war still on?

Except that commercial PC combat simulations never aim to achieve that affect - that is, having the user be able to cold start a jet fighter and take off. This is not and never was how "realism" is defined. That's a weak argument. Nothing constructive to base it on? I'm pretty sure there has been PLENTY of evidence to suggest that all doppler radar missiles should be immune to chaff, because chaff produces no doppler. Furthermore, as this isn't a million dollar military sim, realism doesn't have to be black and white - it's not a question if something is absolutely realistic, or not. What happened to degrees of realism? A commercial PC sim should never aim to achieve anything more than being realistic enough so that the user can play the experience of air combat in a realistic fashion. This can be achieved without being perfectly realistic. Your point of "stuff being an ongoing story of never being realistic" is irrelevant because a PC sim like Lock On never aimed to achieve realism in the first place, but rather to portray the air combat experience in a realistic manner. PC sims are never a 1:1 replica of reality, and why should they be? F-15s never fight against Su-27s IRL, the Cold War ended without a single shot being fired in anger, S300s have never fired a shot against U.S. aircraft IRL...how boring would a perfectly realistic combat simulation be if there was never any combat?

No, it's not. In fact, I agree with you completely. I'll even state it again. AMRAAM and F-15 is completely undermodelled. You can spoof not AMRAAM's, but F-15's by just typing "ROFLMAO" in the global chat. I witnessed it last night in TAF server. I have proof.

Полетал сегодня нормально (то есть сидя, с удобным расстоянием до джойстика и т.п. (офтоп: не покупайте джойстики Траст :) )), управляется несложно, главное, как уже говорилось, ручку не дергать. ФМ, насколько могу судить я, никогда не летавший на вертолетах, похожа на правду. :) :) :) ДМ не смотрел, "летал" как положено, а не с выкрутасами. Процедуру запуска, рассказанную в пятницу, повторил почти без подсказок, там несложно, хотя тумблеров и немало (это к вопросу о "мы же все не запомним!!!"). В принципе, пока раскручиваются двигатели, можно уже включать системы, аэродромное питание все обеспечит, потом главное генераторы включить до его отключения а не после. :) Итого запуск занимает минут пять, а с учетом того, что рулить никуда не надо - мы на "полетах по-серьезному" дольше на земле сидим (это к вопросу о "не хочу ждать десять минут!!!"). Настроил радио на частоту майкопского "Маяка" и полетел на цель. Как оказалось, оную я запихнул слишком близко к аэродрому, что не замедлило сказаться летящим в меня "Стингером". Ушел влево, перехватил джойстик, и мышом шесть раз ткнул кнопку "пуск" на щитке управления автоматом отстрела ловушек. Стингер промазал и я полетел подальше оттуда (это к вопросу о "Как же мы будем управлять мышкой в бою, у нас же не шесть рук?!?!?!"). Издалека сшиб вихрями все стреляющее (привыкшие стрелять вихрями из любого положения по любой цели - отвыкайте :) ), оставшееся убил НАРами и пушкой. Потом сел. "Сесть" - несложно. Вот с вариантом "сесть куда надо" уже начинаются проблемы... :D Да также и реагировали.

Что значит нормальный выбор? КС это не симулятор. Да нет както по спокойнее реагировали. Как по мне то лучше бы ЕД сконцентрировалась на добавлении в игру других самолетов из других стран. Что позволило бы во первых увеличить число продаж, а во вторых увеличило бы интерес вирпилов к этой игре из, опять же таки, других стран. Ну а КА-50...это шаг в никуда.

Да я сам этот ролик смотрел раз 10 наверное подряд:). И особенно виден самолет некоего =RAF=hawk1 :D Нет, но ролик прям действительно супер, респект!:thumbup: :joystick:

Whichever he choses, Its going to be worth the wait for the TVC nozzles alone, no other modeller so far has been able to do what they displayed with the f-35a model.. Am I the only one here that thinks it would be awesome to have? :huh: Also, To those with negative comments.. Knock it off. Seriously, The guy asks us what we wants and that in itself is really kind, If he produces a model with a quality that displeases you, then dont use it. Check out their thread with the f-35a model if you want a 'sample'
