  5. I am a bit disappointed that Poland lost match with Germany. I didn't have any "big" hope (Poland is weak) but even no one honour goal?! But Kubica F1 won, and I am glad ;]

  6. Because even F1 has more from aviation (aerodynamics ) than football but well... We're still waiting for BS and thinking about another questions to DCS:BS FAQ is going to be really hard. We've asked so many that there is not much left to answer. We can see chit-chat thread on russian side of the forum about pets and puppies... People look tired of waiting. I'm not complaining - it is a fact.

  7. R-800 Panel PCB and Panel. I have Just about finished the R-800 panel today.. And since it's one of the simplest and smalles panels (alt least layout and backlight wice). I took the oppurtunity to try out some different methods of panelbuilding.. Needless to say, I found myself failing misserably in finding a decent way of making the panels both look good, and be simple to make with just basic tools and time... I have tried the method I used on the APU Panel, and it came out ok. But I wanted more than just Ok. So I started experimenting with two more methods. (Pics are on the way. I just have to download from camera..) his is what the panel originaly was drawn like.! Using the same method of Bacplate-Backlight screen-Textplate from paper print with plasticsheet-1mm Plexi as the APU Panel. The PCB had the layout transferred onto it. And managed to produce what will go down in history will go down as "the worst, most amateurlooking PCB ever".. I can't even muster up courage enough to post pics of it. But I did eveything wrong! Stupid things like using so much heat on the solderiron that the solderpads came off the PCB plate. And manging to cut tracks so I had to make a "bridge" form what looked like solder-turd.. Brrrr.. I dread he memories..! Also after soldering EVERYTHING on. I found myself puzzeled by the fact that the PCB was stickin' 3cm out from the Lower Left Panel module sidewall.. Another sobering moment for my overgrown self-confidence there... Then I tried using a 4mm Plexi with the backlight LED's just protruding into it in 3mm holes. The holes were drilled only 3mm into the plate. This making the backlight LED's shine inside the plexi plate. By doing this plexiglass takes on simular proterties as fibreoptics. So if I sanded it so it got a dull surface the light would be reflected back into the plate.. And by painting it shiny white on top of that will prevent light form being absorbed by the dull black paint on the outer surface. And he adding the black on top: And then sanding away the paint from the insides of the holes where the switches and green LED would protrude. I would force the light bouncing between the inner walls of the 4mm panel only shine out arround the switches! The new PCB was made from a scrap blank board, and turned 90 degrees counter clockwise, so it would be nicely tucked INSIDE the module. A new backplate was made for the new 4mm backlighing plate. And they were test fitted. Made sure I stuck precisely to the dimesions in the drawings this time. Since I am preparing to send out drawings of the final versions, I want to make sure the drawings actually just work. So you don't have to reinvent the wheel.. The working PCB's: Both layers. Top Layer. And Bottom Layer. The text was hand milled into the face of the 4mm plexi. After both layers of paint had dryed.. How that went you'll have to wait for till tomorrow.....

  8. this is the way I did it on my X-52 I mapped the picky button as ctrl and you know how there's two POV hats on your stick? The top one, I mapped it to have these keys (;,./) which is to move the TD box up down left right therefore, you can use the TD box AND once you press ctrl - you now have trim So you utilize your combo keys.

  11. If the facts are useless to you, I would have to say moving on would be in YOUR best interest. This isn't in the name of "debate." "Debate" would suggest at least 2 solutions to the same problem. Whether or not there will be fixed wing aircraft is not debatable, as the fact is there WILL be. Releasing code for modders is a big decision for a company, and I don't think Eagle Dynamics will be doing it anywhere in the next 5 years if ever. DCS is about a certain standard. Releasing tools so 30 cockpits can be made with the exact same functionality of the KA-50 for an F/A-18 etc. doesn't make sense in the DCS world. It also doesn't make sense to involve diplomacy in software descending from government use. I think Eagle Dynamics has made it clear that their #1 focus is on high-fidelity avionics, mechanics, and flight model. ALL other components are secondary. What is meant by "build your own sim" is that Eagle Dynamics is a company. A company that reserves the right to create and design products according to their vision. Much like a musician who does not allow his work to go public for not wanting his vision spoiled or altered in any way. It is their property and it is their right to create any type of product they want. As a consumer, you reserve the right to purchase or not purchase their product, as well as show your disapproval, etc. (which you have done here.) However, I'll re-iterate, the best thing for YOU would be to move on if your primary objective is to have complex mission triggers, dynamic weather, and multi-tiered diplomatic campaign architecture. This is NOT DCS's primary objective, so your goals and the developer's do not match in this accord.

  13. Majesco. You can stick with the mitch model if you want. No problem. and we made the plane glossy because we want nice shiney jets when flying in an aerobatic team. Just as shiney as the VBA F-18ґs. Its not a problem to remove the gloss. And for the skins you cant belive what you will se in the near future. And sure you could replace the stock f5 and turn the humancockpit to yes... but im not sure what panel you would get. probably the Mig-29 panel. And please in the future, if you dont like the model we are finishig, then donґt post in this thread. We can take happy good comments from members but when a person comes and say: I dont like your model mitch is better, then i think that is annoying and childish.. "Momy i dont want that icecream becuase the other kid over there have a bigger one" . You se my point? Anyway you wont have to wait very long for this to be released, maybe just in time for the summer holidays. Be back soon with more updates. BR Shaggy
