  2. Hello to all community! I'm proud to present you BSVP (Black Shark Virtual Panel) software. This software is allow you to visualize main analogue gauges of Black Shark simulator on separate monitor or even on networked PC (Notebook or Netbook). Like old LOVP, BSVP allow you to configure gauge panel in any way you want. By default - realistic placement included. BSVP was made in 3D engine Quest3D, all gauges are rendered in 3D. ADI cylinder now have proper form, gauges are smooth and clean. Besides, night lightening for panel was made (syncronized with simulator) Hope you will enjoy this project, and happy flights! :) Here's project page: http://3dvrm.com/bsvp/ From the page you could also download latest LOVP software with photo-textures. P.S. Ask me freely if you issued some problems or have some comments :) P.S.2. Thanks to DickDastardly and ggg87 for all they're help! Works with DCS World 1.2.1!

  3. I believe that having a thread with planes you wish to see in DCS and LOFC 1.13 would be useful, some of the models we currently have in LOFC are slowly aging and their low poly really stick out too much (MiG-31, KC-10 for instance) so I decided to start a thread where people can post images of 3d models they'd like to see in future development of DCS and LOFC 1.13 patch, of course! I'll start with few of mine wishes! Well, it's just a pic but imagine having this beauty in LOFC: Interesting isn't it?!

  7. Waldo seems to be on the money there. You do not use the same key for cannon as you do for your wing payloads like ATGMs, rockets, bombs and pods. Vikhr deployment is like this: 1) Locate and lock target with Skhval (should get a "TA" to confirm that you are locked and tracking). 2) Verify your range - you won't get a launch authorization at too long ranges - 7km or so is where I usually limit myself. You can evade this through flipping the weapon panel to manual, but at too long range the missiles will end up losing guidance due to the laser shutting down to avoid overheat. 3) Maneuver the helicopter so that the pipper rests on top of the circle on the hud that identifies the location of the target. This should give you a "TA-NY" on the HUD. Take care to ensure that you are not sideslipping when releasing the weapon, since this can cause the missile to slip outside of the laser grid and thereby lose guidance. Preferably you want to either be in a hover or in forward flight. 4) Press and hold your weapon release button. I use button 2 on my stick. There is a configuration option somewhere in the settings files that allow you to launch missiles with the trigger, but I don't recall what it was off the top of my head.

  8. Yep :). Here's a composite image of my setup: The forward view is running on a projector with a 6ft screen, the Shkval is on a second monitor and the ABRIS, LWS, EKRAN, warning lights, Datalink, CMS, weapons panel, targetting panel, nav keypad, autopilot, lights, heat and view controls are all running on a third (touch) screen thanks to TouchPal. Then I have BSVP running on a second PC (which has a metal panel with holes cut out for the gauges in front of the monitor) displaying the G-meter, VSI, EGT, radar altimeter, speedometer, ADI, engine RPM, rotor RPM, altimeter, HSI, fuel, rotor pitch, landing gear, master caution and RPM warning lights. Thanks to the combined export.lua, I've just flown my first flight with every component fully functional and I don't think I've ever enjoyed a flight sim so much -if my grin gets any wider, there's a real risk the top of my head might fall off :). I'd like to thank both Gadroc and Mnemonic for all their hard work on TouchPal and BSVP -it's been a pleasure working with you guys. I think it's really great that, thanks to the internet, people from Russia, the USA and the UK (who would probably have never had the opportunity to meet in real life) can work together to make something so cool :). Cheers, DD P.S. Due to a slight difference between the English and Russian versions of Black Shark, the BSVP gauge lights in the previously posted combined export.lua only work properly with the Russian version of the sim. If you're using the English version, then use this export.lua instead.

  9. Nice job! I posted an Export.lua file which will drive both BSVP 1.1 and TouchPal in the TouchPal thread for those interested. A few requests: 1) Can you give an options to run with out title bar so we can run it "full screen" on a secondary monitor? 2) You should probably only trap keys when BSVP has focus. While I'm typing in chat or IM I keep toggling settings in BSVP especially since you've used very common keystrokes (Shift+E, Shift M and Z).

  10. have to say congrats to Mnemonic and the vrm on one of the best addons ever for anything  ever here are just a few examples first one is of a win7 laptop running the game on second screen (big TV) with the laptops screen running the abris and shkval (not lined up very well) and finally a networked winXP client running BSVP on a 19" ws on the left (forgive the lack of perfect alignment, it was a quick setup to demonstrate what is now possible) this is like heaven on earth for pit builders, glass instruments for DCS, hell yeah :D edit: just look @ those gauges all doing exactly the same as the in game pit, sweet stuff and as i am sure you will discover, you can reposition and size the gauges to meet your needs and they do not loose quality, they look great big or small. this one is with the alt+f1 pit-less view. with nearly all the everyday buttons mapped on hotas and on touchpal, this view is becoming an option and one i will examine further. running below in local mode for want of a better term (game and bsvp on 1 pc, 2 screens) which works but it is currently a bit for show as the bsvp export messes with touchpal also i have been experimenting with the laptop running 2nd screen in portrait mode, either way it seems we need a combined export.lua to run both bsvp and touchpal simultaneously. and i am sure the smarter ones amoungst us will sort that out :) won't be me that's for sure. not quite working yet, but i am sure it will be soon enough. note that when blackshark starts up the bsvp goes behind the game, (bsvp is inside the game resolution area i guess that is why.) Mnemonic: i wonder if it's possible to make bsvp always on top (if running on a sperate networked pc, or running only bsvp on the second screen this should be of no concern so please do not panic) finally here is one with bs on the laptop screen and second screen with large shval above touchpal with abris. note the vvi to the right of the shkval, most important for avoiding that vortex ring sinking feeling :) also see the yellow warning light telling you to back off some collective, and the gear is down.

  14. 1. Maybe for some odd reason the DCS didn register properly in your local firewall (Windows?). Maybe you need to add DCS.exe there again? Control Panel -> Firewall. 2. Perhaps something changed on one of your firewalls (local on on router / dmz) - check that TCP+UDP 10308 (for playing and hosting) and 10307 (for hosting) are open and working. 3. Maybe for some odd reason IPv6 gets in the way (Vista / Win7) and messes with your connection / causing issues. It can be disabled: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2007/09/09/disable-and-turn-off-ipv6-support-in-vista/ 4. Bonushint: Maybe tell us a bit more about your system, internet connection etc - maybe we can come up with some other fun tasks for you to perform. :) 5. Click the silly signature and you should see one server that allows you to connect and test with 1.0.1 ;)

  15. Alright - there should be at least one or two servers up running 1.0.1 (you won't even see 1.00 servers since you can't connect to them anyway), so I suspect this may well be some form of firewall or router issue as well, but hey, you never know. Keep us posted.

  16. keep in mind that v1.0 and v1.0.1 are not multiplayer compatible, so both server and client have to use the same version.
