~S~ Greetings all, Following in the wake of our DCS:Blackshark cockpit trainer, I have recently finished a "beta" version of a cockpit trainer for the A-10C. This should allow folks to familiarize themselves with their new virtual office when they don't have time for a full gaming experience. But lets get right to the reason for this post. I present to the DCS:A-10C community our Cockpit Familiarization Trainer. A-10C Cockpit Trainer7 points

No dudes you've got it all wrong. The china hat is called the china hat because it is red, and red is the color of communism. In the A10A this was called the Sovjet hat but it has been renamed for obvious reasons. EDIT: It is also referred to as the Osama hat among pilots deployed in the middle-east.2 points

I thought I would release the beta version of my airfield diagrams for DCSW as the charts are at the point where I need to print a copy and then work my way through the airfields to get the rest of the detail right. The radio frequencies, elevations, directions and measurements should be accurate with the mission editor the F10 view and the A10C's internal MAGVAR. I'll do the release as a separate thread to the design discussion to avoid the release getting lost in that thread. I'm working through tower placement and taxiway labelling in addition to points of interest however a lot of the Russian airfields dont have the taxiways labelled which complicates the matter, I'm thinking it may be worth waiting until the DCS release prior to revisiting this. I've also added references to the ADF's from the BS manual and if the interest is there I will release a Russian air force version with Metric measurements once the maps are finished. If anyone picks a bug or has some reference notes for the airfields let me know. UPDATE: Updated airfield name plus some error corrections For those of you printing this, I recommend printing in color to A5 directly, as the map lines blend better in color then gray-scale, however you can print 2 per page on A4/letter Airfield Diagrams.pdf1 point

Chuck Norris fought Panzertard once and lost! I have heard the following song sung amongst virtual pilots sitting around their campfires... Oh great Paznertard Save us from the non-believers Oh great Paznertard Save us from the griefers The work you do for ED is a must and in Servman we trust You acts are legendary Oh great Paznertard Oh great Paznertard1 point

not many folks know this but Panzer is a genius - i have heard folk songs about him detailing how he singlehandedly developed a long range missile out of toilet paper tubes that diverted an asteroid impact away from an Ausralian aboriginee camp in Queensland.1 point

People, transparency of objects is NOT a bug or a hardware problem. This is exactly how ED intended it to be (whether you like it or not). The idea behind this is to simulate haze on objects. I know, it's a very cheap way and I HATE it aswell. You can screw around with settings and partially solve it, though not without big effects on FPS. The love-hate relationship with ED continues........:D1 point

no, no - you are right, i made that whole thing up. please feel free to walk up to an asian person and call them the c-word to their face, you cracker ass, white honky. they should put a little more slope to the button and we can call it the david duke hat instead.1 point

That was me ;) I've updated all my Warthog Scripts (including DCS:A10C) to this post : http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1031261#post1031261 To answer the OP, you have to double check your axis settings in DCS, be carefull that when running TARGET, your Warthog is named "Thrustmaster combined" in any game you launch.1 point

Here are my profiles HOTAS Warthog TARGET Script Editor profiles. The files are with comments so it should be clear of what it does. Note that you might want to remove the SetKBLayout(KB_FR); at the beginning of each .tmc files, but my guess is that it should still work with it. Get back to me if you have questions, I'll try my best to help you. Blackshark : Blackshark.zip SU25T : SU25T.zip DCS-A10C : DCSA10_simple.zip This one is a bit trickier to install : 1. Extract files 2. Copy Thrusmaster Combined {REPLACE WITH YOUR NUMBERS}.lua to your Config\Input\Aircrafts\A-10C\joystick\ directory 3. Open with TARGET Script EDITOR DCSA10.tmc and run it 4. Launch DCSA10-C game 5. Go to options->control and modify one bind for the Thrusmaster Combined joystick. 6. Exit game 7. Go back to Config\Input\Aircrafts\A-10C\joystick\ directory and locate the Thrusmaster Combined file with your numbers, rename it to something else but keep the numbers visible. Copy/paste the number sequence from your file to the one I've given you. Launch DCS-A10 and enjoy. Now you can bind Teamspeak and change some stuff to whatever you want.1 point

Haha, i understand what you are saying. My personal belief is that AI will be tweaked if/when they make A-10C and BS online compatible. As for now, we have to live with braindead wingmen. I send them away in the beginning of the mission so they get shot down quickly. No need to have 3 wingmen repeating 'Unable, unable, unable' all the time.1 point
