  1. Yes, all that I've done. I think the likely issue is not to depress the tdc after slewing (I haven't been able to test it yet)
  2. I think I've tried that before, but I'll give it another try. Is there any indication on the screen that the target has been re-set after I slew and TDC depress, or it just stays the same? Meaning, how can I confirm that the target has been redesignated?
  3. Thanks, I'll try that. I thought I only had to press it.
  4. Hi. Can anyone help me with my tecnique with laser guided bombs? I sometimes can't properly aim them, let me elaborate with an example: I'm playing a mission where I'm given coordinates of a target. I set them as a WP and set it as a TOO. However, they are not very precise and I need to slew the targetting pod view a little. When I've done that, and I'm properly dead center in the target with the TGP, sometimes the bomb doesn't hit where the TGP is looking but where the original WP was (I believe), as if skewing the view did nothing. How exactly should I perform this action? Does it make any difference if I enable the laser before or after I slew the view on the TGP?
  5. Hi. I'm trying to get the HMD aligned in the hornet using VR and I'm not managing to do it. I first run the bit cycle test, and then when I have to align the cross in the hmd with the one in the hud, I do it as much as I can (considering that any heartbeat makes it impossible to be 100% still) and click the cage/uncage button, and I can't get to the next step. It always says ALIGN FAIL. Any ideas? Thanks
  6. Hi. Not sure if this has been already reported, but I'm playing mission 3 and if I chose to skip the AA refuelling and start behind the tanker for WP3, the communications menu doesn't open up (meaning I can't get my wingman to do the tasks required). Anyone experiencing this too?
  7. I just bought the campaign a few days ago and flown the introduction mission and mission 1, and I have to say, with all these screenshot interactions and AWACS code tables, that is not very VR friendly, to be honest. But that's something I can deal with. I'm trying to fly Stage 2 mission, but I basically do nothing. I can't find any AA site to destroy myself, and if I fly over to the Strike location, which in this case is a bridge with 3 armored vehicles, I get yelled at by JTAC that I don't have authorization and I have go away, even though I tried to contact them. What am I expected to do? Just circle around WP1 and let my team do all the work and then go back to the carrier?
  8. Out of curiosity, I assume you get a % of the money of the campaign purchases, don't you? I just finished the serpent's head too and purchased the 2
  9. What a great campaign this was. I've finally finished and had a lot of fun, as well as learned a lot. Definitely playing it again in increased difficulty, but not before playing both serpent's head campaigns, which I didn't know were the prelude of this.
  10. You mean that only the Increased difficulty campaign has ACLS, or only the kneepad of that campaign has the frequency?
  11. My kneepad only has ATC, TACAN and ILS, and I purchased the campaign on the 21st of May. So unless the ACLS channel is the same as the ATC...
  12. What's the ACLS channel? I can't get it to pass the test and I heard that's normally because the channel is wrong.
  13. Thanks. I didn't know about that. Does that mean that ACLS system is active in this campaing?
  14. BTW, something else that is not working for me is that I can't see my wingman in the SA page, and yes, DL is on (channel 336.0). Or am I doing something wrong?
  15. Hi. Just passed by this thread to mention, as a Hornet module owner, that I would love to buy the Super Hornet module, but likely only if it was kind of an upgrade module, or as someone mentioned, with a discount or something for Hornet/Supercarrier owners. I would likely not purchase it if it was at full price. I think many of Hornet owners would probably think like me, but then it is for ED to determine if it's worth. Again, as mentioned before, if it needs to be built from scratch, it might not be, but if they can work on the existing frame, it might. And I assume the bugs the Hornet currently has could likely be fixed/worked on for both frames at the same time. Also, probably not necessary to say it, but if this ever becomes a reality, I think I'd still like to be able to use either of the two, not just replace one with the other.
  16. If it's of any use, I've finally completed the mission. I think that the missile miss if you reach WP2 before minute 50, which is when impact is expected. If I sync it to arrive at minute 50 or earlier, both missiles hit. Don't know the logic about it, but it's what I've experienced.
  17. I played it again and one of the missiles missed again, so I decided to fly high speed low level (30 to 50 ft ASL) to avoid the SAM detection and destroy it myself with one of the AGMs, and later destroyed the truck attacking the boat with the gun. Not ideal in terms of fuel efficiency, but a nice and fun twist to the mission. Very Top Gunish flying so fast so low above the sea
  18. Thanks! Yesterday I was playing this mission again and following the missiles cam. Out of the two, one missed its target, therefore I couldn't again approach the island. I hope that fixed is deployed soon BTW, great campaign, I'm enjoying it a lot
  19. I think it was as silly an issue as not launching from the proper CAT. I didn't pay attention and was launching from CAT 1, and I was supposed to do it from CAT 2.
  20. Hi. I'm now in mission 8, and there's a SEAD team supposed to get rid of some SA-6 on the island, and call for "Freedom" when those have been destroyed. However, they release the HARMs (code Skylark), but they never call Freedom. I've seen a video on Youtube, and HARMs are supposed to reach their targets at around minute 50, but I keep flying in circles in WP2 and they never call it, and if after several circles I decide to head towards the island, the SAMs are still there. Am I doing something wrong or might this mission be corrupted with some of the latest updates?
  21. I finally managed to finish the mission, but God I hate AGM-65Fs! It was a learning experience though, that's for sure...
  22. I'll try the last thing you mentioned (not locking the target with the TGP) see if I can have the MAV to properly lock. The problem is that it's a group of 3 vehicles very close together, and I don't think I can target one specifically with the RDR. On the other hand, when I hit one (I managed to do it once), the other two vehicles stop, and I still need to destroy them. Since they are stopped, the GMT radar don't pick them and I need to use the TGP.
  23. Thank you Recluse. Then if I have the target locked in the TGP, I should be able to cage and uncage, but not Slew it unless it's undesignated? What happens if I lock a target in the GMT radar, then move to the TGP and lock it there? I assume only the last lock will remain, right? and when I move to the MAV screen and uncage it, it should move automatically to the target?
  24. Thank you, that's very valuable information. I think I might disable the REALISTIC TDC SLEW as you mention, because I'm having a really, REALLY HARD time getting the maverik to lock on the proper target, even if it's properly locked in the TGP. For some reason, the seeker doesn't lock onto the target in the TGP.
  25. Ok, definitely I'm doing something wrong, as I tested the weapons practice mission and it works. I think I needed to learn a few things that might help others in the future: - To slew the seeker of the MAV, I need to press both Undesignate button + TDC depress. I know the TDC I need to keep it pressed while moving the reticle around, not sure about the Undesignate one. - The MAV won't be made available until it has a lock on a target - In the weapons practice, I selected a target WP, and then I could cage and uncage freely. I guess in the mission I was flying, since the target was aquired either by the GMT radar or the TGP, the cage/uncage option is a bit more limited, since either the radar or the TGP already have a lock on a target. I guess I only need to uncage it to slew it, but I don't really need to cage it again. I'll try the mission again later today or tomorrow, see if what I've learned helps me.
