Same problem here. I have the targetting pod tracking the moving target in one screen, the MAV IR cam on another, I have the TDC square in the MAV screen, and the cage/uncage properly bound to my hotas. The warm up countdown has long been finished, and still I can't cage and uncage it. I'm pretty sure I'm doing everything right, it's likely a bug. How can I attach a track replay to show you?

Hi. Is it normal that the hornet's hmd is only appearing on one of the vr displays? Specifically the right one. I assume this is on purpose to make it feel more like a hologram, but it's kind of annoying.

A little bit of an old topic, but I have a question about it. Does it have any negative impact turning it on? I usually do it every time I see in the mission briefing that temperatures are low (below 0). Should I wait for the warning to turn on?

Hi. Not sure if this has been discussed before, and if so, then sorry. The thing is that I recently learned the the F in models such the F-16 stands for fighter, which is an aircraft specialised in air to air combat, and the A, such in the A-4 or A-10, is for attack aircraft which is specialised in ground attacks. Hence the F/A-18, since it's a multi-purpose combat aircraft. If that's so, why aren't planes like the F-15 or F-35, which I believe are also multi-role aircrafts (correct me if I'm wrong), F/A-15 and F/A-35 respectively?

Hi. I'm sure this has been asked (and replied) before, but I'm not sure I can find the answer. I know I can disable callsigns using LShift + F10, but is there a way to permanently disable them or do I have to do that every time I load a mission?

Thanks rob10. I actually thought I had already searched for ATC, but definitely I didn't. I still need to decide what to do with the F-16 and F-15 buttons of the base, as well as the red buttons and sliders, but I'll find some use for them. Regards

Hi everyone. I've finally received my Orion HOTAS and I couldn't be more excited. I've already set almost everything up, but I do have a couple of questions about it. In the throttle handle, I'm mapping all of it as suggested in the ww site, which I believe is the most realistic with the actual plane, and that's what I'm aiming for. However, the first button in the left throttle says "Automatic Throttle Control", and I can't find that in the controls list. Is that something available in DCS? maybe with another name? Also, how do you map the parking break switch (a two position switch) in the base for it to work? in the controls screen it's 4 commands: CCW, CW, PULL, STOW. Thank you

Hi everyone. I've been a few weeks very, VERY tempted to upgrade my X56 with an Orion HOTAS, since they are on sale now ($399 + shipping). However, I could use a little bit of time (like everyone else, I guess, in Christmas period). Does anyone know until when is this sale going to be active? I do not plan on letting it go, so I'd buy it today if I had to, but as I said, I could use for a little bit of waiting. Anyone knows when it finishes? Thank you

Thank you, I'll try that. I tried plugging it in a front usb port and that seemed to get rid of the issues with the buttons, but the thrust going up to afterburner is still happening. The most annoying thing now is the Input device TrackIR plugged and unplugged messages.

Hi everyone. I have some issues with my Logitech X56 throttle device. I have several things bound to it (IDLE on and off, landing gear, flaps, comms...), and I noticed that every single button bound in the throttle randomly clicks (so for instance it would shut down the plane because it turns the idle off, or pulls up and down the gear midflight randomly, turns the comms menu on and off, etc. As you can imagine, it's super annoying (and even makes it unflyable). Another annoying issue is that eventually will also move the thrust to afterburner. It usually happens when I'm still starting up the plane and with the brakes on. So there's definitely something wrong with it. At first I thought it was because I have both the throttle and the stick plugged into a USB hub, though the stick works normally, so I tried plugging the throttle in the front USB port (the back ones in my setup are not easily accessible as I have it inside a custom made table), and that seemed to work a bit better, though the thrust thing still happened then, so I need to do some more tests this way. Do you have any idea what could be the issue? I also have another issue, not related to the HOTAS though, that it's also constantly giving me the message "Trackir device plugged" and "Trackir device unplugged". I used a DIY trackir with opentrack a long time ago (and it worked perfectly) but I haven't for a long time, so I don't know why it's doing this now. Also, the trackir itself was not plugged, just the webcam I used for it. And even if I unplug the cam, as I don't need it anymore, it still tells me that. I even tryied disabling the trackir column in the controls screen. Do you know how can I get rid of those messages? Thank you

Thank you both. I I'll go for the libra then, cause eventually I'd like to build a cockpit, though it's a shame they don't do a cheaper bundle with the orion throttle and have to go to the supertaurus (which is supercool but I mostly play on vr) or the stick only.

I just noticed there are two diferents joysticks. What's the diference between the Orion and the super libra?

Hi everyone. I'm thinking of replacing my (barely) used Logitech X56, and the main candidate for that is the WW, basically because I want the F18 grip, and I don't want to purchase it separatedly if I lean towards the TM. Also, the WW looks neater, specially the throttle. However, I do have some concerns about the cables coming down the throttle handles. Those seem like they could fail over time. Seems like a design flaw to me, honestly. Those who already have experience with this HOTAS for a while, can you give me your opinion? They are out of stock until the 9th, so I still have some time to decide. If the stick was not an issue, would you choose WW over TM? I'm also thinking about getting the TM base and stick separatedly (maybe 2nd hand) and get only the WW throttle (though were I live it's not so easily found 2nd hand, and the full pack is a bargain compared to the separate items). Now that you mention it, I do remember that you had to open DCS from the launcher and not the updater. However, why do I need to enable the virtual desktop if I'm using the link? I tried just activating the link and opening the game from the DCS.exe instead of the updated and that seemed to work. Thank you very much.

Hello everyone. I know that this has been asked a lot of times before, but I can't seem to make things happen with what has been told in the other topics. The thing is that I used to be able to play DCS with my Oculus Quest 2 not too long ago, but I replaced my main hard drive recently and I haven't managed to make it work again. I have the standalone (non-steam) version of DCS, the Oculus Quest 2 and an Oculus Link cable. I have the Oculus software installed in my computer. I thought it was enough with opening DCS in the computer and that should automatically connect with the googles, but that's not the case. It just opens up flat in my monitor. What am I doing wrong?
