  1. I'd be willing g to pay for such a module!
  2. Forgot to mention it's on ssd. It's clearly a load problem. Would think the cockpit textures goes into the vram. So maybe the card just can't feed 3 screen fast enough but not sure. Or is it due to system ram
  3. First my system. I7 950 3.8ghz 6gb ram 270x 4gb windows 10 Ive been messing around trying to clear my stutters as of late and while and while low preset yielded horrible fps setting medium and then playing around and setting the textures to low and view range to low/medium gives me very smooth 30fps locked at 5760 3 screen. I got the 270X top with 4gb ram that im not even close to filling however, i can max it out at around 3.2 Is it the bandwidth that's the problem here or is it the lack of ram? If i set it to medium or high i will still get the same fps but with constant microstutter. I plan to invest in either a vid card now or cpu ram mb, cant really afford both so which route does one go.
  4. Is there any way to increase just the cockpit textures to say medium and not the outside ones? Or is textures only cockpit to begin with? On low the text is so blurry its impossible to read and sadly the only way my system can do smooth sailing on 4 screen setup.
  5. Im lucky enough to have a 3 monitor setup and gotta say the brisk walk helped a lot on landings! Something totally random but man the helicopters require focus! Im generally not the most focused guy but when flying helicopters my pulse lowers, my breathing is so slow that i have to make an effort and i get a funny feeling in the abdomen lol.
  6. I see! Then you sir, are in dire need of a toggle switch :D
  7. Must be easier to just bind force trim on/off to a button or press left alt u ;)
  8. Thanks. Gonna be trying that approach tomorrow and see how things go. Got about 14h in the huey now but mostly hovering auto rotations and combat. Not that great on normal landings
  9. Thanks appreciate your answer. What I'm mostly curious about though since I've never flown a real one is the friction forces on the sticks. With force trim off, is it completely loose? Does it have any sort of friction at all or would it just fall down if you let it go? It looks to me that it's firm enough not to fall down on its own but I have no idea. I'd like to try and replicate it as best I can.
  10. So it's all metal? Really wishing for a great grip in high grade plastic. Light and nice and perfect for modability. Not ice cold and heavy :)
  11. What with the extension is night and day ye but the throw is just way to big, had to set mine to 60% sat to get close to the in game one. It's actually not a bad thing to have a tiny dead zone on this one as the autopilot will right itself and fly level when you keep it centered. I had a lot of trouble with this on my ffb2 mod with no dz whatsoever (pots connected to Bodnar board) so I fly with a 31cm extension on the warthog for this one. Feels much better
  12. Turning off FFB does fix it yes. I hope this will get sorted quite soon so we can have working FFB with the trims. Now its reversed. The stick moves a mile when you trim and the FFB stick just stays the same.
  13. Thinking about powering 2 FFB's from one card and im wondering a bit about any voltage drops and such, would you also need double amps? Greater PSU? I got double current with added resistors on it now, would that be sufficient to handle both?
  14. It dont take much thats for sure. I got a fairly long shaft on my stick and some dampers and its more putting pressure on it that actually moving it when i want to be real accurate in hovers. Its less than on the video though. Tend to fly with just 3 fingers also if im not doing any combat. Id love to know how the stick and everything feels if its possible to describe that?
  15. Thanks! Im good on the stick ( https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=179964) I'm looking to loose weight and a different shaft. Been eyeing that to grip actually and scaled down can be ok, tend to fly with 3 fingers and the wh can be a bit hard to reach the top hat. I got lots of switches from my cougar that I could stick in there if I decide I can live without the buttons.
  16. Nice work! Id love to have a light grip on mine too, how much did the grip + teensy cost you?
  17. Thanks for the reply. Locking it to 30 fps in amd crimson has (its not really locking it, just trying to smooth things at that fps) no effect nor has locking it to 30 in graphics.lua. Using Radeonpro profile tool with admin rights and forcing double vsync the sim runs very smooth at 30 fps now. Its not as fluid as 30 of course but the constant stutter is gone. Sadly this also comes with a huge performance hit so its not worth it. can run in single screen but nothing else. Now, setting affinity actually just makes it stutter every so often so im not touching that anymore, the difference is neglible. Its a sync issue anyhow, so not much to do about it
  18. Actually, setting affinity to cores 3-4 helped a lot on the micro stutter but now i got it everytime the fps tries to jump to 31 instead of 30, comes and goes which can be a tad more annoying actually. Way smoother when it sticks though! Wish i could force half vsync!
  19. You'd be surprised with the 270 actually. I cant do shadows and not to much view range + autogen stuff but it will do 60 quite nicely with most of the other stuff on high with a 3 monitor 1 screen setup. With the 3 screen option thats a no go of course. In any case its kind of sad not to have any eyecandy, just cant do single screen either once you've gone triple. Its not much difference in fps there though tbh I do plan on a major comp update this year regardless though as my 5 year old i950 has done its job now. Going for top of the line this time too (more now but way less in upgrades later ) but i hope to see what Amd's new cpu lineup will be before upgrading. same with vega. Looking forward to seeing 2.5. For now, combat while stutter, its still good fun in the Huey
  20. That's pretty much it yes. Thankfully, lying the sim gets to 60fps fairly easy (in caucasus for me) as 30 fps really isn't smooth and it fluctuates a tiny bit when locked in graphics. Lua. Guess the only solution is to upgrade my gpu/cpu to handle 3 monitors to 60fps at all times.
  21. System amd 270x 4gb Evo 250gb SSD 6gb ram i7 950 3.8ghz Version 1.5.5.59744 Latest 2.0 Been ripping my hair out trying every single combination and tips found on this forum but it seems that unless you are at 60 fps with vsync you will have microstutters at any fps, above or below that. Any fluctuation in fps will also result in stutter. On my system anyhow So if you guys got a magic fix for this in the close future it would be fantastic! Id love to have a smooth sim on 55 fps too
  22. Thanks!
  23. Throwing in some new pics. I decided to put the dampers at 90 degree for now. Just scavenging stuff i have for the prototype. There's a lot of wires coming out everywhere and while its already connected to a bodnar board for the pots id like to buy a dedicated one to go with a plastic handle like the TM f16 FLCS or the CH fighterstick. For not its fine but you need a big weight (about 1.6kg for this length) and lots of room for the WH handle. I really want to put my proper shaft on here so thats a future thing once i can afford it. Id happily sell/trade my WH for a plastic equivalent. Also got a Huey WIP collective with working throttle. You might notice im not overly worried about aesthetics
  24. Came across this one while watching some Huey stuff and like the camera angles and discussion. Could be of interest to others too :) Startup checklist is around 19:50
